Commercial Description:
Blasphemy is our award winning QUAD aged in bourbon barrels. But not overaged, so we've picked up gentle vanilla oaky notes which complement rather than supercede the complex qualities that already make QUAD such an incredible beer.

22 oz bottle. Tried this immediately after the Quad. I would have never connected the two. The beer poured a clear dark orange color. Head was off white. The aroma reminded me of toasted coconut mostly. There was also a hint of vanilla. The aroma had no resemblance to the Quad. Sweet on the tongue with a warm splash of alcohol accompanied by coconut and pineapple notes. Not at all what I had expected, but good. I liked this one much better than the Quad.

This was definitely more interesting than the Quad. It had a strong tropical note in the aroma. If I was told that this was aged in Malibu rum barrels rather than bourbon, I would have believed it. The body was dark amber. Aroma had coconut, mango and pancakes. The taste was glazed donuts with bourbon vanilla character in the finish. I also go tsome more coconutin the taste. The body was nice and smooth. I liked this much more than their Quad.

Cream cheese aroma, some fruitiness. Golden orange colors. Cream cheese flavors, malt, dried figs, caramel, bourbon. Creamy palate, pretty good.

Pours a clear copper with decent head. I will give this another shot if I get a chance again, but I really couldn’t get passed the coconut sweetness. Vanilla if I look for it in the nose, not in flavor. overall boring in comparison compared to the quad.

22oz - Aroma of bubblegum, steady quad yeast, vanilla and oak. Pours a transparent garnet with a million little cascading bubbles, a medium off white head and great lacing. Flavor is very strong oak and alcohol, very warming. Over powers much of the subtleties found in a quad. Palate is dry and sticky. Overall a tasty brew that may rely a bit too much on the wood.

(bottle - 22 oz) Copper in color with a thick and lasting tan head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is heavily dominated by oak notes along with some vanilla, caramel, cognac, and a slightly nutty hint at the end. Flavor explodes in your mouth right from the beginning. Lots of malts begin swirling over your tongue as soon as they hit it. Sweet malts and a hidden citrus come out afterwards, followed by a smooth middle and a slightly sweet finish with hints of vanilla. Alcohol hits hard at the end and warms you. I can see sitting in front of a fire with a nice cigar sipping this one.

Copper color with a brief, diminishing, nearly fizzy, head of beige bubbles. Oaken nose, with caramel and almond liqueur on the side. I catch a hint of zest and and bourbon in the background as well. LIqueur flavors, best seem to describe this one. Hints of caramel, but almond and lightly citric alcohols come into play. Quite warming, At times I feel like I’m doing a shot. Some bourbon and oak come out in the finish. Linger actually has a nice, rich malt component, with light peat and earth. Not quite half done and my stomach is really starting to warm up. This really is a nice sipper. A touch thin, as in the alcohol does show up at times, but this one does seem to beg to be in a snifter and just nipped at once and a while when reading by the fire. Intense flavors. I actually like DocLock "eloquent" description. Sounds like my ex, aside from the refined part.

Bottle: Pours a red/brown, murky with a thin white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is of very ripe green apples and grapes. Flavor is very malty and fruity with the same green fruit juicy flavors but with some yeasty earthiness as well as oaky tannins and a medium bourbony spices throughout. Alcohol shows some but not too much. Quite a nice sipper.
