Commercial Description:
Blasphemy is our award winning QUAD aged in bourbon barrels. But not overaged, so we've picked up gentle vanilla oaky notes which complement rather than supercede the complex qualities that already make QUAD such an incredible beer.

Bomber from FrumptyDumpty; nose of vanilla, dark berries, and light bourbon and spices; cherry amber with a small beige head; flavor of dark fruitiness, vanilla, oak, and light alcohol, with a warm finish.Plata a little on the thin side but OK. I enjoyed this quad! The barrel seemed to add lots of oaky vanilla without strong bourbon.

Poured a lighter amber color then i expected. Amall head weak lacing. Aroma was mostly of oak bourbon and vanilla some fruits in there. Flavor was much the same. The bourbon was much to much in this one to really enjo

I’ll preface this by saying I didn’t like the Quad to start with. This one pours a chill hazed coppery auburn body with a creamy beige head that leaves some sheet lacing. Lovely aroma boasts fruity apricot, orange, berries, vanilla, and some oak. Needless to say, it’s boozy. The hot alcohol is distracting to the palate. Taste features whisky soaked tropical fruits, soft woody oak tones, vanilla, and phenols. The oak aging adds some complexity but the alcohol is simply overbearing here.

Poured an amber to orange type color with a decent little initial head, weak lacing thereafter. The aroma was fruity, oak, bourbon, and vanilla. The flavor followed suit, bourbon first, oak second, vanilla third, and some fruity notes underneath. Unfortunately, this one had the usual bourbon overkill that drowned out the base style, which as I originally recall wasn’t all that, caramel and spices. Mouthfeel a tad sticky, but not overly so. Okay, nothing great.

Pours mahogany red with no head to psek of. Aroma is sweet with hints of oak (no surprise there), fruit and alcohol. Flavor is more roasty than the nose and contains just the right mix of sweet bourbon, vanilla and fruit flavors. Alcohol makes itself well known, but is not overpowering. Very tasty, but not a session beer.
