Commercial Description:
Blasphemy is our award winning QUAD aged in bourbon barrels. But not overaged, so we've picked up gentle vanilla oaky notes which complement rather than supercede the complex qualities that already make QUAD such an incredible beer.

Thanks Daniel for bringing this one over. I was hesitant to drink it all night long because the idea of a BA quad did not appeal to me too much. This one is quite different than I was anticipating. Pours is a bright red color with no head on it. Smell has some notes of bourbon, sweet sugars, molasses, some vanilla. The taste is pretty strong, riddled with alcohol, though I cannot detect near the sweetness level of the regular Quad, which I find odd. Smooth and easy to drink. The alcohol content is noticed only because it burns going down. It is good stuff, not sure I could down a 22 oz of this, but its certainly good to split amongst friends.

Courtesy IBrew2or3. Pours a slightly clear copper, with almost no head. Smells of pretty big alcohol, caramel, molasses, and dark sweet malts. get some raisins in there too. Big alcohol right in your face during the first sip. Very malty, with a syrupy mouthfeel. Caramel and bitterness round out the flavors. Pretty complex brew. The alcohol might be a little too much, if they toned it down some I think I’d like it more. Still pretty good though.

Thanks to JB175. Cloudy brownish color. Smell of oak, raisins, dark fruit, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, cotton candy and alcohol. WOW!!!! The smell of bourbon is better when it warms up. Taste of bourbon, oak, vanilla, spice, malt, raisins, alcohol, caramel and more bourbon. Dam, this is strong but I like it a lot. Love the oak/wood and bourbon. Very nice.

Nice dark orange, amber color with little head, no lacing and some small floaties. Aroma is very nice- sweet and bubblegummy. Flavor was good, malty and sweet, but had a very evident alcohol burn. Barrel aged...who cares, good job marketing department... Overall pretty good, and the 11.8 abv aids in the enjoyment too.

Pours a dark brown color with a off white head. Has some lacing. Has strong hints of caramel, dark fruits, oak, spices, and vanilla. Had a candy aroma, and not a lot of carbonation. Finished very sweet, and had a warming of alcohol throughout.

rusty bronze color with no head.the aroma blends vanilla, oak, apples, bananas, and caramel malts.flavor is loaded with oak and vanilla.followed by cotton candy, alcohol, and the fruits i mentioned in the flavor.its more like an overly sweet barley wine than a belgian quad.
