Commercial Description:
Blasphemy is our award winning QUAD aged in bourbon barrels. But not overaged, so we've picked up gentle vanilla oaky notes which complement rather than supercede the complex qualities that already make QUAD such an incredible beer.

Pours golden amber with excellent clarity. Medium head, minimal lacing. Nose- sweet candi sugar, booze, grapes. Taste- medicinal hotness to it, dark fruits (plum, raisin), some earthy wood and of course bourbon. Finishes dry and hot. Cabonation is moderate, body not all that thick.

12 oz bottle thanks to Flaco Alto when I was in Tucson. Lots of sweet, dark fruit aromas. Flavors of prune, raisin, brown sugar and molasses. Some alcohol and wood in the finish. Very very tasty.

12 oz bottle (vintage 2007) at Akkurat 2007, Stockholm. Sweet bourbon aroma with bread, vanilla, warming alcohol and tart acetic acid. Sweet flavor with toffee, bourbon, vanilla, some acetic acid. Slightly vinous with hints of raisins and plums. Also this one has a disturbing acetic note.

22oz bottle. Nice copper color, good white head. Sudbtle vanilla aoma, nice and malty. Very rich and malty, just sublime. This is quite a good beer, very decadent. Thanks to Brian(ogglethorp) and Steven(Swolf3) who both set bottles to me.

Yep, there’s that sugary-bourbon-vanilla-wood scent. Rich sweet and very mellow. Flavor pops at first with a burst of heat, slight vanilla and caramel malt. The yeasty quad aspect is so relaxed, this is almost like a well-refined barley wine. Oh yeah, beautiful dark amber with a small head. As this warms up it just gets better and better, smoother, sweeter and more complex.

Pours a deep orange-brown colour with a fast fading head. Aroma is quite nice. Soft sweet orange-peel and plummy character with a touch of cherry as well. Fairly light vanilla and bourbon that integrates pretty nicely with the lightly spicy esters. It’s a little bit vineous as well. Flavour wise, it’s pretty good, but a little bit boozy. Peppery alcohol and a little bit of light Belgian spiciness. A hint of peachiness along with a sticky sugary sweetness on the back. As it warms the bourbon really picks up. OK, but way too hot and boozy

22oz bottle. Pours a hazed, dark ruby brown with a small beige ring for a head. Nose was very sweet, tons of vanilla, bourbon, oak and caramel. Flavor was also very sweet with all the components mentioned above with a good boozy kick. Very impressed with this Quad.

POURS NICE AND DARK. VANILLA AND OAK TASTE. TASTE VERY MUCH LIKE A CARBONATED GOOD RED WINE. TASTE VERY MUCH LIKE A RED WINE AND IS AS HIGH IN ALCOHOL CONTENT.
