Dec 9, 2008 This barley wine poured a light copped colour with next to no head at all. Even after a vigorous pour. To the nose there are scents of paint, liquid paper, corn, sweet malt and cherries. First taste was very smooth with a thick mouthfeel. Taste of cherries, malt and sugar are most prodominant. Finish is sweet with malty cherry flavour lingering. Finish is syrupy but not that sweet. One of the better Barley wines I’ve ever had.

Dec 5, 2008 Pours dark ruby color with minimal off white head. Strong caramel and fruity aromas. Sweet malty, dark fruit flavors with some warmth from the alcohol. Medium/full body with mild carbonation and a syrupy mouthfeel. A good English style barley wine.

Nov 27, 2008 Bottle: Pour was dark ruby/brown with minimal head. Aroma of sweet malt and dark fruit. Flavor was very sweet and malty with more dark fruit, light vanilla, and a hint of cherries. Real good but could probably use some age. Would purchase again.

Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of heavy sugar, malt, some fruit. Pours a ruby color with a thin head. Taste is very sweet, light fruit, little hop. Finish is also sweet. Body is sticky syrup sweetness. Not a brew.

Oct 30, 2008 The aroma is very pleasing; candy sugar, malts, dark fruits. The appearance is true to the style: a reddish gold color, thin white head. The flavor is sweet malt, fruity, with a slight hop contingent. The finish is sweet, again little evidence of hops. Good barley wine overall.

Oct 26, 2008 Pours a cloudy brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma sweet fruit, plum and raisin, malty and some caramel. Flavor is sweet, dark fruit and some cherry. Finishes long and smoewhat sweet with some alcohol warming.

Oct 23, 2008 This poured deep copper in color with a moderate head of fine beige bubbles. The nose came off sweet and candied with scents of bubblegum, tropical fruit and caramel. In the mouth it was dense, concentrated, rich and sweet. This had a lot of power but remained balanced albeit a bit simple.

Oct 19, 2008 Good barley wine. Nice full body with a little hops. The roasted darker malt character is what I liked. Lots going on in this one.
