| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2008 Pours red amber with a quickly disappearing off-white head. Aroma is very malty with fruit, caramel, and a spiciness that doesnt quite fit in. Flavor is more of that malt with some raisins that have gone a little bad and a dash of spice. Does a good job hiding its alcohol, but it becomes more prominent as it warms. This is not as unpleasant as I have described it. I’m actually enjoying it, even though I think the spices are a little over done. Drink it a bit on the colder side. fonefan (11888), VestJylland, Denmark

Flavor is brown sugar and prunes with a thicker consistency. Nice warming from the alcohol, but not too overpowering. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2008 Pours a clear, ruby amber with just a little tan head that rings the glass. Aroma of slightly soured, under-ripe plums and raisins along with alcohol, spices, and some very sweet caramel malt in the back. Taste is very sweet fruity malts at first with a little caramel. The finish really does leave you begging for the next sip, but only because of the blaring alcohol. Finish lingers with a dry, warming, thick, malty sweetness. sallad (111), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 13, 2008 Clear amber-orange with a nice, thick offwhite head. Sweet toffee, light toast with mild citrus and piney alcohol tones. More sweet candy in the flavor over a coating fruity bitterness and a nice malt backbone. Plenty of alcohol warmth on the way down. Well balanced, and rather thick.
