Very much so multi-faceted as a Barleywine should be. Sweeter than expected, the melody of fruits and malts blend very nicely together, leaving you warm inside. I could definately go for a few more of these. UofFkid (108), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Bottle. Poured amber color with very little lacing. Malt overpowers the senses. Very strong but great offering. Aged for 3 months, not long enough. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Very malty in the nose maybe som cherries too? First taste is pretty sweet. Hints of dark fruit and some bready/yeast flavor. good body. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Updated: Oct 2, 20092009-09-02, bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm, vintage 2004, 5 years old, 7-5-7-4-14=37 Hazy red-amber color, hazy; creamy head. Caramel aroma, with a plum side, and some alcohol. Reasonable body stength, mature caramel flavor, medium sweetness, plum touch and raisins; correct bitterness, but the final is not sweet as it should be. So aged, it reminds me more an American version of Belgian Strong Ale than a Barley Wine.
2007-04-25, bottle, 8-4-8-4-17=41 Beautiful amber color; thin persistent head. Malty aroma, spicy, perfumy; interesting. Malty flavor, not too sticky, spicy, peppery; sweetness and balanced bitterness; the alcohol burns a bit. A very good strong ale, powerful; too much yeast in the bottle. More Belgian style (the yeast?) than English. Gpnterojd (164), Orangeville, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Pours dark rust with little head. Aroma of cherry, alcohol and some almond. Alcohol, wood, caramel, and cherry compose the flavour. Warm, bitter finish. Leaves a dry palate and lingering feel on the mouth. Gets quite sweet as it warms. raiderfost (158), virginia beach, Virginia, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 21, 2007 No too complex for a barley wine, but there are many cherries in it. Not too sweet which is unfortunate. Perhaps needs to age? Nice carbonation in this one, and the alcohol is very subdued but welcomed to add to the poignancy of the flavors. Nice. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 21, 2007 This is the first barley wine i’ve had and i’m not impressed. Was not the most pleasant beer drinking experience. The aftertaste was horrible.
