Aromas of sweet caramel, brown sugar, fruit, little bit of alcohol and a little banana bread. Aroma is light and not overpowering. Taste is fruit, figs, big malt, brown sugar, caramel. Nice fruity finish, lively sensation on my tongue and good warming as it goes down. Big beer but at the same time, not hard to drink. I like this. Prcaus (159), New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep reddish amber with a large light beige bubbly head with a solid creamy base. Aroma of biscuit, nutts and alcohol. Medium to full bodied that fills your mouth with a nice creminess and a good spot of carbonation and only slight alcohol warming. Big malty flavor of biscuit, slight hint of dark fruit and some alcohol. Once again a beer that is just average enought to be forgetable, and what ashame because it has one of the best names out there. Actually a perfect name for me after a few but they might want to change it to unintelligable blithering idiot. larsga (2969), Oslo, Norway

Sugary firm malty aroma with alcoholic caramel notes. Sweet tropical fruit and earthy caramel taste with chalky resiny notes. Nice! Big floral/fruity aroma with similar flavor. Huge malt presence with hints of honey, figs, orange. Great beer, as it warms the flavors really slam you. Thoroughly enjoyed this barley wine.
