fig, bread, and other fruit then moves into a little bit of alcohol that almost resembles whiskey. Warming on the way down, sweet and creamy. A good malty barley wine. SuzyGreenberg (1410), Seattle, Washington, USA

Malty aroma with some dried fruit, figs, and dates and a bit of alcohol. Malt flavor with some sweetness, vanilla, and light figs/raisins. Lighter than expected body. Vanilla and malt lingers with a bit of dried fruit. altonbrownd (1957), Amsterdam, Netherlands
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Bottle from coldbrewky. Cool amber body with healthy head. Sweet and syrupy nose. Taste of sugary and roasty malts. Nuts in full evidence. Delicious vanilla notes. Warming finish. Thanks again Steve! Pwn3d (1088), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours a sandy brown with off white head atop. Nose is dough and a pleasant natural powder sugar aroma. Taste is sugar, malt, dark fruit, port, honey, hazelnut, and alcohol. Obviously monumentally complex in flavor. Tons going on. Not my favorite B-Wine, but very respectable. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA

Had this one as a session beer at yet another beer room weekend. I got alot of dark fruit brandy in it. Something seemed off for me, my tongue would kind of curl after a while of drinking it. Maye too malty, IDK, i know its a good beer, i just didnt dig it. j12601 (1327), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
