Bottle. Nose-cherry cough syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, pumpkin. Taste-cough syrup, medicinal, allspice, pumpkin, lots of desert spices, overly sweet. Some decent flavors, but the medicine and sweetness kill them.

Hazy orangy-brown with a light brown fizzy receding head. Nose is of spices, orange, corriander, spruce tips, and pine. Biting medicinal flavor with more pine and honey. Floral perfumes. Flowering azalea. Full-bodied and syrupy with noticeable alcohol presence, Sweetness lasts to medium finish.

Amber color. Smell of nuts, honey, spice and alcohol. Mouth is very heavy. Taste of sweet honey, some citrus, spices(ginger and nutmeg), hops and alcohol. Nice and different.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an amber color with small head. Aroma of tart fruit and malt. Taste was fruit, malt and alcohol. Actually had a bit of an alcohol burn, but that didn’t distract from the taste too much. At 13%, this one packs a big alcohol punch, but falls a bit short on flavor and balance.

Poured from 22 oz bottle. Whoa, i’m a bit drunk right now after drinking this. Aroma of honey/alcohol. Hazy amber apearance. This is ultimate mead, aroma of honey/alcohol. Flavor - complex - the honey, with spice (pepper), banana, vanilla, nut, oak. No hops apparent here. Palate got a bit sticky in the last half, probably due to the honey. Finished as it started, very well. Terriffic brew.

I was pleasantly surprised with this. Big spice, clove, banana and overripe fruit flavors. Had a slight medicinal aftertaste, but wasn’t unpleasant. Almost a pumpkin pie flavor in there too. I was thinking this was a smooth, great beer. Wasn’t until the next day I saw what the ABV was! Wow, it’s well hidden though. I liked this a lot.

Poured an orange color with no head and absolutely no lacing. At these ABVs, I guess the latter isn’t surprising. Thick stuff, the carbonated bubbles rose at a pretty slow rate, which was the best part of the appearance after the pour. Aroma was of junipers and some unidentifiable spicing. Flavor cold (45-50C) reminded me of Rogue’s Juniper to the nth degree. As it warmed the spices (cinnamon?) started to come out and boy, they didn’t come across all that well: way overdone. This beer got hard to drink the more I had, far too much cinammon in there. Alcohol was astringent, needed to settle down as well. Rather thick and sticky mouthfeel, very syrup-like. Not that enjoyable.
