Tastes of caramel, spices and some citrus. Had this previously when first tapped and it ages well. Hot alcohol edge has balanced out well. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 11, 2005 On tap at richlikebeer’s house, apparently a six-month old keg. Poured an effervecent amber with a creamy white head. Caramel citrus fruit aroma. Flavor is sweet caramel and apples with a large amount of alcohol heat. Not especially balanced, but apparently this older keg was a lot more balanced than the beer usually is. I liked it. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Aroma is sweet, almost medicinal, with some spices. Beer pours mostly clear amber color with a dissipating off white head. Flavor is sweet, spicy, a bit of cough syrup flavor. Alcohol is not very apparent for 13%. An OK beer, not what I expected for Weyerbacher’s anniversary beer. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2005 Bottle courtesy of Mullman. Pours reddish amber, with minimal off-white head. Aroma has lots of sweet caramel apple with some faint banana. Flavor again lots of caramel malt, residuel sugar, apple and banana towards the finish with a slight alcohol burn. Very syruppy mouthfeel. Almost is barley wine like in some ways. radagast83 (1314), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 5, 2005 22 oz. Bottle. Strong aroma and equally strong flavor. Both were good in my opinion. A extremely huge amount of alcohol in it, deffinately a drink that takes a lot to get though, as I almost felt full by the end. 1FastSTi (2569), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2005 Pours to a glowing copper orange body with a decent, creamy off white head. The aroma is strong at first, but then dies down. Full of honey, herbs, and sweet sugary malts. The flavor is where this beer excels. Spices, melon, malts, honey, some things I can’t pinpoint. Its surely nice because it’s so blended and smooth. Nice. It is surely warming, and the alcohol almost notes a barrel aged flavor. Medium bodied and has a nice feel to it. Surely a good brew. It could likely age pretty well at 13%. Better than I rate it, but that’s due to the aroma and appearance. Ah well. I do recommend picking this one up. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
