| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2005 Pours a deep amber/orange with a loose off-white head and visible particles are in the beer. Heavy honey aromas with corriander, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and anise. A pervasive soy sauce character and a lot of fusels take away from the overall aroma. Body is somewhat syrupy and underattenuated as a whole. The flavors are heavily sweet, and like the Blithering Idiot, become cloying. Very hot alcohol burn masks some of the spices which there are in abundance. Finishes hot and somewhat dirty. Glad I only bought one. kramer (2524), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 20, 2005 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear orange/ruby, thin white head that settles to a thin ring rather quickly. Aroma of candy like sweetness, a bakers dozen or so spices and herbs, honey, and alcohol. Taste is overly spiced with a candy like sweetness, very hot alcohol especially evident in the finish. This has got to be the most un-beer-like beer I’ve ever had. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a sticky mouth coating feel. Soft to medium carbonation breathes a little life into the swollow. Overall a very interesting beer, kind of tastes like half beer and half energy drink. I have lots to age, and I really have no strong feeling on how that will go, but either way it will be interesting. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Pours with an amber-red body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet, spicy and fruity with some malt and alcohol notes. Full bodied, smooth and warming. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA

Aroma is creamy, vanilla, bourbon butterscotch and lemon. Flavor is buttery (think buttered popcorn dipped in chocolate liquor) lemons and spice. Confusing. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 16, 2005 Bottle, orange tea-colored pour. Big spicy nose - cinnamon, allspice, maybe a touch of nutmeg. Alcohol present in aroma and even more so in flavor. Flavors similar to aroma, but also more fruity, with prunes being most predominant. Sweet, almost candied sweet. 13% and residual sugars? Syrupy. Enjoyable but cloying. Glad I have another one to age. Sickboy282 (1100), San Diego, California, USA

Poured a darker orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of spices, alcohol, honey, and more spices. Medium sweet and somewhat woody. I was disappointed with this one (I’ll let the bottle I have at home age for a while and see what that does to it). egajdzis (3640), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2005 Updated: Aug 17, 2007Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey, nuts, cardamom, alcohol, and tons of other spices. Taste of honey, this was very mead like, more spices in the taste, very floral, and a strong, dry, alcohol finish. Quite enjoyable now after 2 years!
