Bottle shared by nolankowal: Orange color with a tan head. Aroma, alcohol, brown sugar, and some spices. Flavor, malty, syrupy, really sweet. Somewhat medicinal. This might have been the point when the spoonfull of sugar joke came in.

Bottle. Sweet pine aroma. Almost clear red copper colour. Small head. The flavour has a nice pepperiness. Quite spicy and herbal with a hint of added vitamins.

12 OZ bottle from pineypower (Thanks!). This pours a hazy amber with a very small head. Strong alcohol aroma with some wood and spices. Taste is woody, sweet & sour, alcoholic, spicey. Tastes better than it smells. From the aromas, I thought it would have a strong alochol burn, and it doesn’t although the abv is quite noriceable in the finish, there is no burn. It is a bit rough though, perhaps it will be better after a couple years...need anothye bottle to lay down...

Bottle. Murky cider color with an oily head that’s very thing. Smells like honey and spices, and lots of sugar. Some malts in the background, a bit nutty. Flavor is almost bland. Overly sweet, little bitterness, alcoholic, and pretty gross. Oily on the palate. Not good. Tastes like ginger ale.

Pours a murky brownish amber with a tan film for head. The aroma is strong and sweet of clove, cinnamon/sugar toast and preserves. The flavor however is dissappointing. Overly sweet and alcoholic. Syrupy and artificial. The alcohol flavors predominate. Viscous flowery element, touch of spices and an overly alcoholic flavor. Not balanced.

Pristine cherry copper in color with a beady galaxy tan wrung serving up the head. Deep, delving nose gives uncharacteristic points to the boys in Easten. Brandied fig sauce, caramelized golden raisins sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg, cedar wood dipped in honey with rose hips thrown on top, and something that aromatically indicates a diffusing Disarenno caramel liquor candy lozenge. It’s amusingly enticing, judging by the nose and the nose alone. Syrupy sweet substance glides in like melting caramel shells on an Indian summer day. Aged clover clings to a buttery nectar strip that’s suspended in the flavor forest border zone. Cardamom cream soda traits nip saltily at the tongue’s hinges while an orange marmalade glaze makes its peace with caramel bread pudding. Syrupiness conjures up thoughts of after dinner brandy snifters. Orange honey blossoms mingle with starchy and staunch cotton, and eventually (cloyingly) circumvent a maple sap flavor along the way. Generic cola collides with ginger ale to produce a puce, spiced twang that’s unwilling to cease its hanging from the tonsils. Pumpkin pie spice rests prominently on ground ginger in the end.

(07.03.06) One pint 6 oz brown bottle from Bierkdraft. Bottled 2005. Poured clear amber with small white head. Soft carbonation. Aroma of honey, spices, and caramel. Full bodied ale that starts with moderate sweetness and spicy (allspice?)/ fruity flavors. Finished with light malt fade. Mead-like in flavor and mouth feel. Definite alcohol warmth. Very little hop presence. Lush, rich, and smooth. Well-balanced. Succulent aroma. Another excellent Weyerbacher beer.
