Jun 21, 2009 Pours a semi-hazy copper color with a dense, off white head. Aroma is strong of grapefruit citrus and a lighter piney note toward the end. Flavor has the piney notes coming through more than the citrus, light malt taste toward the end. Density is good, low carbonation and a pretty smooth feel to the beer. First time, I believe, for Simcoe hops and they are really perfect fot the Doubld IPA style. Overall the Simcoe hops really are good in this beer and the flavors and aromas match what a double IPA style trends towards.

Jun 20, 2009 12 oz bottle served in a clear pint glass. Pours a hazy copper with small amount of thin yellowish head. Aroma is Pines, grapefruit, and light malt. Taste was strong hops, hints of grapefruit & pine, and a lingering light sweet on the pallet. Although I’m not an IPA fan, but this was a pretty good brew.

Jun 17, 2009 Bottle and Liquid Sunshine VI. Thanks bvc! Dark caramel in the glass, small head. Sticky resiny aroma of squeezed hops. Concentrated and syrupy, hint of wild mint. Hell yes. I dig this crazy juicy monster.

Jun 14, 2009 Poured dark golden-amber with a thin but long-lasting creamy head and nice lacing. The nose bursts with fresh springy hops and citrus notes. Super hoppy flavor with a semi-sweet floral and bitter finish. Very nice IPA.

Jun 11, 2009 pours a hazy orange with a nice foamy offwhite head. leaves some nice lace on the glass. nice floral hop aroma. notes of grapefruit, pine, mango, with a nice sweet malt caramel backing. a little booze on the finish. good.

Jun 7, 2009 Sampled during Deliriumfest’s Graduation tasting in Maplewood, MN and shared by Deliriumfest. From a 22-oz bottle pours a hazy dark amber colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of strong piney and grapefruit with a hint of caramel. Taste is full bodied, a bit slick and oily, with flavors of intense Simcoe grapefruity and piney hops that overpowered practically everything. Finish is semi-dry and not as sweet as most other Double IPAs I’ve tried. My tongue was IPA shocked for at least 20 minutes. Wow is all I could say.

Jun 6, 2009 Pours reddish amber with thin head and little floaties. Aroma is pine tree, grapefruit, and some very light caramel sweetness. Medium bodied and a bit oily. Flavor is grapefruit with little else. Slight alcohol burn on the finish. I am not a hop head, but this is balanced enough for me to handle. Can only handle one though.

Jun 6, 2009 Bottle from Wegmans in Princeton, NJ. Hazy dark golden color with a nice white head. Awesome piney hop aroma with some sweet malt. Flavor is sweet malt with a blast of piney and citrusy hops. Really good stuff. Smooth palate with hop oils coating the mouth.
