Smell of caramel keeps pushing toward the front with a fruity tartness following. Mouthfeel is full and rich and lip smacking at the end, very good. Flavor is same as aroma with slight maple syrup maltiness and a bitter finish. Head flavor (the same as the beer but creamy) and retention are awesome and definitely add to the flavor. Thank You Weyerbacher. 2009 12 oz. jmm635 (269), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA

Hazy orange pour with wispy offwhite thin head. Nose of grapefruit and pine. Flavor is cat pissy bitter hop but has some malt to back it up. Bottle must be a little old, this has mellowed nicely. Semi-balanced now. Birdiebeagle (815), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Bottle Pours a hazy copper with a good off white head. The head lasts well, and adds good lacing. Has a spruce hoppy aroma, with a nice touch of pepper. Taste is excellent. Very good hoppiness with too much bitter. Has a great carbination, and a wonderful mouthfeel. Has a medium body. An awesome finish which leaves me wanting more. The texture is just about perfect for beer. This is what I expect from a DIPA and would expect nothing less from my guys at Weyerbacher. Well done. Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Poured a clear amber / dull copper color with a modest white head and terrific lacing. The aroma is dominated by pine and floral hops with peppery spice and very light hints at citrus and malt. The flavor is pine hops and peppery spice with a bit of malt trying to hold up its end of the bargain. The mouthfeel is nice, the 9% ABV wasn’t noticed.
