Excellent lacing on the glass. Aroma was heavy of citrus and pine hops. Flavor was... Whoa!... a hop "explosion" in my mouth. Really big with large amounts of grapefruit and piney resinous hops. Not to be faulted for its lack of malt structure though... excellent balance... maltiness is present throughout, but it really shows through in the finish, which is also quite bitter and hoppy. One of my favorite IIPAs of all time... a really great beer! unclemattie (2416), Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2008 4pk, 12oz bottle. Copper color. Light tan head. Aroma of a sweet West Coast hop orgasm. Big citrus, pine, and full of resin. Go ahead, take a sip. Kaboom. Powerful hop presence. What a hop character. Full of sticky malt character, hop bitterness is in full attendance. The hop character takes over the entire palate. Rich caramel sweetness on the front of your tongue, then lupulin goodness on the back. Full and sharp. Well balanced and fun to drink. An east coast beer as good as any southern California brew. Now I want a cigar. hughie (3060), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

Thanks to Gazza for this wonder. Gold with a white head. Sweet alcoholic apricot aroma with raspberries and piney hops. Taste is resinous (Thanks, mes, for that adjective), fruity, hoppy and strongly bitter. Excellent. Tejas (697), Dallas, Texas, USA

Not just an in your face IIPA which makes this very smooth and drinkable. I downed this sucker in no time. Glad I got another bottle to enjoy. pintocb (510), Darsville, Georgia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Dark copper color.Tons of hops in the aroma. The flavor is hops up front, hops in the middle and hops in the finish. Very resiny. The bitterness lasts and lasts. Oily beyond belief. Citrus is present, but hidden behind the pine. Balanced by a huge malt backbone. Wow. JoeinUccle (902), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Bottle pours slightly hazy, pale amber with whitish head. Aroma is lots of pine and awesome fruit punch. Very bitter flavor with a mild sweetness to balance, more pine notes, red fruit. Nice aromatics but the bitterness is too harsh and sticky to be refreshing. MrChopin (643), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Hazy orangish-copper with a small white head. Hop-fest nose of grapefruit, pine, and very minor sweet fruits, banana and blueberry. The flavor is mainly grapefruit and quite bitter, growing near the finish, but there are some nice wheaty malts and hints of caramel. Soft and foamy with a long aftertaste, there are a lot of nice elements here. Enjoy! Jblauvs (581), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
