Commercial Description:
Fast on the heels of our fantasticly reformulated Hops Infusion, our brewers have picked up the gauntlet and brewed a Double IPA using exclusively Simcoe(R) Hops! This west coast Hops was created in 2000 by Select Botanicals, Inc. and carries a fantastic flavor profile abounding with citrusy-grapefruit, piney, resiny notes that pushes this Double IPA over the top. 9.0% ABV in the brew gives it a nice malt foundation as well. Draft and bottles, 12 oz. in PA, 22 oz. out of state (as we have no 6-packs),

a murky burnt orange pour under a large creamy beige head. big sweet resiny mandarin scented hops and some touches of bready malt in aroma. surprisingly smooth palate for all those hops and it being 9%. juicy and fruity flavors of big mandarin, pine, peach, grapefruity hops with a malty bready backbone for good measure. well crafted, and welcome to GA.

wohoo!! the initial aroma has a great deal of strong herbal/floral and piny smells with the malts at a medium style but the hops bring it to a everlasting greatness. palate a tad below perfection but the rest makes this a must have.

The aroma is fantastic with those Simco hops and sweet caramel malt. The appearance is amber with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma and robustly bitter. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s quite nice.

12 oz bottle. Trade with TheEpeeist. Thanks a lot. Pours slightly unclear orange with a creamy white head & lacings. Aroma is of fruity & bitter hops. Lots of pine, grapefruit & soap. Very mild sweet touch. Sticky & good smooth palate. Crisp & ends very dry & bitter! Lovely!

Great. Extremely smooth and drinkable for such a strong beer. Flavor is excellent and complex. Citrus and grapefruit hops throughout ending in a lightly bitter finish. Very full flavored. Medium bodied. Flavor is not especially bitter.

Courtesy of funknmilla. Pours copper with a thin white head. smells on signature simcoe goodness with some nice pine and crisp dry spicy hints. Tastes slightly bitter and a bit on the swet side (in Weyerbacher fashion). With a resiny finish. Decent.

12oz. Bottle. Coppery orange and slightly cloudy with a medium lacy white head. Nose is strongly citrus oriented with grapefruit and orange peel. Bitterness is the initial flavor, but is balanced nicely by pine and citrus. Body has a mildly creamy texture and is sticky and resinous on the tongue. Beer ends pretty much where it began, lots of hops and a touch of sweetness. Alcohol remains well hidden throughout. Nice to see a IIPA that showcases a single hop.
