The aroma is killer, PINE dominates, cirtus. Flavor is bitter hops dominate but they warned you. Mouthfeel is pretty thick. This is the smoothest weyerbacher I’ve had, the alcohol is well hidden by the dominating bitterness. Not bad. sebletitje (1999), Tampa, Florida, USA

Thick head, light taste, smooth on the palate. Lagunitas Maximus comes to mind for hoppiness. getalife2k5 (7), Astoria, New York, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 5, 2008 pours a copper/golden amber... looks like oolong tea. smells of pine and pineapple-citrus. perfectly bubbly with constant bubbles at the surface. tastes strongly of white grapefruit with certain piney notes. thick and syrupy and extremely bitter. the bitterness hits you about halfway through and stays in your mouth for quite a while. while the bottles are pricey, they are certainly worth it. take your time and really enjoy this one. but, you won’t taste much of anything else after you finish it, your tastebuds will be down for the count, if not the rest of you! fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Perfect for a warm day or a breezy summer night like tonight. Double simcoe is a deep cloudy red amber with a nice head and a beautiful cascade. It has an excellent bouquet full of caramel and citrus notes, with a good mouth feel and full of sweet belgian beer type flavors with a nice hops back. Very tasty and very refreshing. It hides its alcohol well. hershiser2 (923), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 25, 2008 22 oz shared bottle-Clear orange color w/a moderate white head. Full hop aroma. Flavors of citrus & hops up front, but not so thick that you are chewing on it. Had a bit of a bittersweet finish, didn’t overpower you. Full mouthfeel w/o being offensive, like some DIPA’s. This isn’t always my favorite style & I wouldn’t drink it all the time, but this was an enjoyable brew.
