Nov 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper, with a medium frothy head. Aroma up front is citrus and then a nice pine comes in. Taste is pure hops, citrus, grapefruit, lemons, pine, resin, wow, this is a pure hop bomb. Bitter all the way through into the finish and that bitterness lingers. More sweetness as it warms, but that bitterness stays. Great stuff.

Nov 26, 2007 This reddish brown pour smells of citrus, fruit and is loaded with hops. The flavor is light, hoppy, sweet and has a bitter finish.

Nov 26, 2007 22 ounce bottle pours murky crimson with a two-finger camel head, stiff as foam rubber. Insane lace contrails chase themselves around my glass. Christmasy, pinetree and grapefruit nose; also cheddary/pretzely malt, some buttery diacetyl, and ghosts of ashtray and plastic. Syrupy sweet, fruity flavor boasts candied orange and lemon, ginger preserves, fresh-baked bread, gin with lime. Hints of bayberry in both taste and aroma. Alcoholic finish. Heavy, chewy, overfull palate is contrasted by airy/electric carbonation, stinging lupulin, and almost searing ethanol heat. Resiny aftertaste, not especially bitter. Could use more dryness and less alcohol intensity, but overall one of the better commercial 2IPAs out there.

Nov 20, 2007 Near-white lasting head. Unclear deep copper to amber colored body. Strong, delicious fresh and fruity hop aroma. Complex taste of sweet malts and lots of bittering hops. Hints of alcohol. Good body. Lingering bitter finish. Very nice. (Bottle @ RBNAG’07)

Nov 15, 2007 Pours a clear beautiful copper with off white head. The aroma has a big hop punch of grapefruit, tangelo, ripe cantaloupe and faint malt sweetness. Nice. The flavor. Wow. Delicious. Initially the taste seems sweet. But the sweetness is fleeting. Then the grapefruit and tangelo hop flavors break through the malt sweetness in a gradual fashion becoming more and more bitter. Very tasty IIPA with just the right mouth feel for the style. Into the finish the grapefruit and tangelo hop bite evens out at an apex of bitterness with faint background sweetness.

Nov 13, 2007 12oz bottle from Bmartin08. Thanks man!!! Hazy dark amber with huge billowing off-white head. Huge pine hop aroma, caramel, citrus, very sweet. Flavor is nice pine bitterness, bubblegum, caramel, very sweet, nice balance. Creamy, full body. A great IIPA, love the strong hop bitterness and the big malt balance. Love it!

Nov 12, 2007 12oz bottle, pours a cloudy lightbrown color with little head, strong floral hop aroma, big huge hop flavor, nice bitterness, this is one of the best IPAs i’ve had, great beer.
