Commercial Description:
Fast on the heels of our fantasticly reformulated Hops Infusion, our brewers have picked up the gauntlet and brewed a Double IPA using exclusively Simcoe(R) Hops! This west coast Hops was created in 2000 by Select Botanicals, Inc. and carries a fantastic flavor profile abounding with citrusy-grapefruit, piney, resiny notes that pushes this Double IPA over the top. 9.0% ABV in the brew gives it a nice malt foundation as well. Draft and bottles, 12 oz. in PA, 22 oz. out of state (as we have no 6-packs),

On tap at Stubby and Steins in Gainesville, FL. Poured an attractive cloudy orange with a persistent off-white head. Smelled citrusy (grapefruity) and clean. Big hoppy, bitter taste. Like a class of spruce needles.

Holy Simcoe Hops! The alcohol content is a bit high and as a result the taste isn’t quite a 10. But man I love the hoppy, some what grapefruit flavor. This beer was a lot hazzier than I had anticipated. Pours golden/orange, slightly opaque. Nice and beautiful head that sticks to sides of the glass and you down another gulp. Fantastic beer overall.

Bottle, pours hazy orange with a tall frothy light tan head. Strong Simcoe nose, lightly piney and notes of cannabis. Flavor is full of sweet toasted nuts and bready malts with a pine hop finish that is dry and awesome. This also has a candied pear flavor. This has got to be one of my favorite, DIPA’s!

Bottle. Pours a hazy, almost opaque orange with a large, fluffy off-white head. The aroma is great: floral, hoppy, and tantalizing. The taste really matches it; The bitter hops hit the tongue hard with a wonderful woody flavor and linger on the tongue but eventually give way to citrus and caramel notes. I highly recommend this beer to anyone who loves hops.

This is damn near DIPA perfection as far as I have ever tasted. Wow. The aroma is unbelievable. You are first hit with such a sweet whiff of hops and flowers that you believe that you are actually smelling a hop vine. The frist taste is pure hop head bliss. The use of only a single hop to get this flavor is pure genius. I could drink this all day everyday. Uncommonly good.

Bottle. 12 oz. Pours deep, cloudy orange with a half-finger, quickly fading off-white head. Aroma of hops, pine, oranges, grapefruit, honey, and hints of kiwi. Fuller bodied with a very strong, slightly bitter mouthfeel. Nice finish. Excellent double IPA.

I was in Tampa in October and while trying to find something halfway decent there and got one of these. It was so incredibly delicious, that I figured I must have been desperately beer-starved at the time and had lost all perspective. Then I came home to Wisconsin and found it at Woodmans, and it is still incredibly delicious, time and time again. It’s been a month now, it is still a grand delight at every sip, and it still kind of semi-trounces all my old standards (Stone Ruination, Bells Hopslam, Victory Hop Wallop, Tyranena Hop Whore). This is a beautiful, beautiful beer.

On cask at Friday the Firkenteenth at the Grey Lodge Pub. Pours a translucent copper, amber with a lacing white head. Aroma of oranges, herbs, flowers. Flavor is well balanced, caramel sweetness, citrus fruits, earthy. Bitter, slightly sticky finish.

courtesy of Pascal Sauser - hazy amber-red colour with a persistent pale beige foam; creamy and flowery hoppy nose; quite oily and full-bodied, very bitter fruity and flowery finish, quite dry - robust and straightforward
