Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy chestnut color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma is strong grapefruit, pine, pineapple and spice. The flavor is strong sweet pineapple, grapefruit and pine. The malt element is a bit lacking and this beer ends up being a pure hop bomb. The hops coat the tongue and take it hostage. lukin013 (211), Columbia, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2006 Dark amber in appearance with a big white head and a little lacing. Nice citrus and floral aroma. Flavor begins as a nice balance of citrus hops and sweet malt with the malts disappearing and the intense bitter hops hanging on in the finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 28, 2006 A dark orange to amber appearance. A perfume filled aroma mixed in with some grapefruits and oranges. This one is quite sweet with a decent alcohol burn on the tounge. Primarly oranges and grapefruit flavors show. Overall ok in small quanities but certainly not a session beer. Braudog (3763), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 27, 2006 Incredibly towering head ... Very floral aroma, like clean sheets. Very oily ... damn near like eating the hops from the vine with that warming burn. Very nice hop burn. Not as big as I’d expected, but quite delicious. glkaiser (1171), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours a light copper color with a nice white head that leaves behind some decent lacing. Aroma of citrus and hops. Taste of hops and malt with a slightly bitter pleasently smooth finish. This is a big complex brew that is sure to satisfy any hop head. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Bottle: Cloudy copper color with a small off-white head. A strong aroma of citrus with greenery still attached. The hop scent is also quite sweet. WOW! This is powerful. I haven’t had too many brews where you could feel the alcohol burn all the way down. After you get used to the alcohol, you pick up sweet hoppy flavors of mangos, tangerines and some honey. It isn’t as thick and syrupy as some of the other 2IPA’s I have had and I think I prefer it. Thanks Indiana_Red for sharing this hard to get beer for those of us in Idaho. IndianaRed (1555), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Bottle pours a hazy light amber witha nice full creamy head. Aroma is sweet brown sugary malty and hoppy and some alcohol. Flavor is intensely bitter and fumey. The characteristic alcohol burn as it goes down and the warming sensation eminating from my upper torso tells me this is a strong brew. The malt flavor is a bit woody and papery I thought but the hops rip you back to reality by the scruff of your neck demanding your undividing attention. It warrants it. Lingering earthy bitterness, and a moderate carbonation.
