Commercial Description:
Eleven is made with a single variety of hops, Phoenix, from the UK. Phoenix was developed at Wye College to be a high alpha acid (bitterness) hops with a British flavor profile. Phoenix is also low in cohumulone and high in aromatic oils, so you can throw a ton of ’em in and the beer will stay smooth and aromatic. This beer has 109 IBUs in it! The taste profile is incredibly balanced and dangerously drinkable for an 11.7% brew. But don’t look for that grapefruity-piny taste you get from US hops (not that there’s anything wrong with that), these buds are fruity and earthy with an almost berry-like aroma, to give this beer a unique taste among big IPAs. Bitterness we got! And malt to back it up, with the result being a very intriguing beer you’ll just want to sip all night thanks to Phoenix hops. Cheers!

Bottle at ultimate glasgow tasting. Aroma is packed with bittering hops, spicey at times and a pepperyness from the alc, but alround just bitter. Taste is similarly hitting it hard with the alc and bittering hops, theres grassy hints of pine, but i recon this was ment to have been had fresh and its almost 2yrs old so lackign somewhat.

Cloudy brown/orange (kind of the color of grapefruit juice), with medium white head. Aroma is a lot of grapefruit juice, medium sweet, lots of hops surprisingly. Real bitter grapefruit, big alc, caramel malt, INTENSE!! Syrupy, medium to full body, lots of carb.. A pretty awesome brew, just so intense and unlike most things out there, though I would like to put another bottle next to founders devil dancer.

(on bottle)Orange, hazy, white head. Fresh-cut hops, not overwhelming though, to the nose. High carbonation. I got a heavy liqourice-root influence and then a huge alcohollash in the taste and mouthfeel. The sweetness in finish, balances it very well, allthough the sugars are winning the struggle for being too dominant in an overall look. Dusty in the last-finish, nite.

Draft. Well aged. Pure alcohol in the aroma. Smelled of a deep sherry. Some oakyness and alchohol in flavor. musty and sweet.

Thanks to JB175! Pour is a cloudy, nice orange...big fluffy head. Smell is musty, bready, fruity and sweet. Very bitter upfront that lasts through the middle. It finishes sorta sweet, but with a weird off flavor. The body is full and lacing was present throughout. This was most likely better fresh.

22 Oz Bottle. Sustained heavy fruit soap, laced with a plethora of desert grasses and broadleaf oils. Pours a thick, clouded amber orange, cherry juice glint. Rim of silky soap, heavy and lacing rests atop. Tinted banana. Flavor is intense in really one dimension of fading hops. Savory, of roasted vegetables, heavily citrus candy and oxidation. Plenty of malt body and not really overly sweet. Attenuated as this beer should be, I suppose. A real mouthful of sugar, yeast products, celery hops and alcohol. All too much really. Dense and overwhelming. Not a well played triple IPA in my book. Finishes soapy and with biting celery seed. Thanks Shaun!

Nice amber pour, with a nice pine taste, the end is alittle rough but still a pretty good beer
