Commercial Description:
With its rich malty taste, deliciously full body and clean crisp finish, Weyerbacher ESB is truly a delectable libation. Boasting a fragrant hop aroma and glowing with a reddish-amber color, our ESB is arousing yet well balanced. It's the perfect companion for good friends, good food, or just about any occasion.

Terribly similar to Yards ESA with its British fruitiness. Actually lots of flavors here, tightly wound. A handsome pint, but there is something about it that makes me a bit nauseous, again, just like Yards. Strange.

Not extremely bitter, but the hops aren’t hiding liek some ESB’s I’ve had. Good beer.

Not as bitter as I thought it would be but still an excellent brew. Hoppy taste and a good crisp aftertaste. Another good brew from Weyerbacher. ;)

Very good ESB, a lot smoother than a lot of ESB’s. It could use some more hops. Not as bitter as some ESB’s.

Copper/Orange color. Decent hops in the beginning, but finishes on the mild/malty side. There’s a slight metallic taste here and a somewhat musty, nutty, grassy aftertaste that just doesn’t seem to match the style.

Slight head which leaves a small filmy residue which lingers for a while. Nice amber color with medium carbonation. Great balance between malt and hops in the aroma, while the flavor is slightly skewed towards the malt. Very smooth and easy to drink. No off flavors.

Head is quick to disappear. Not as carbonated as the Scotch Ale. Sharp and crisp with a citrus flavor. The malt is more dominant than the hops. The flavor is pronounced and lasting. The color is a slightly cloudy brownish auburn beer.

Good ESB. Nothing real special about it
