Commercial Description:
This fantastic brew began its life as "Charlie", the third installment of the Brewer’s Select Series. It is now part of our seasonal lineup and will be released in the month of January. It is an intricate dark ale with a touch of smokiness. The rich malt flavor, crisp bitterness and smoke reach perfect equilibrium in this brew. At 7.5% abv, Fireside Ale will warm you up as the temperature drops.

Bottle Pours a nice brown with a diminishing off white head. The heads laces well. Has a good smokey aroma. Roasted nuts and malts dominate the nose. Has a good flavor of smokeiness. A good amount of carbination and a good mouthfeel. Has a medium body and dances on the tongue. Has a smokey solid finish. This is a perfect seasonal, brewed to warm the soul. Very well done.

Bottle. Pours a clear cola brown with a thick tanned beige head. Aromas of smoked malt, toast, and a little bit of hops. Creamy and almost oily medium thick mouthfeel. Slightly disconcerting. Flavor is nice and malty with some smoke. Finishes the same way, but that oily texture is a bit perplexing. Seems like an awesome beer to take camping though.

Bottle from Hyde Park. Poured clear brown color with a large frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate smoke malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet smoke flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where exceeded and went well with sweet & sour meatballs during NCAA hockey game.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small, off-white head with good retention over a hazed brown body. Aroma of smoke, chocolate, vanilla and wood. Taste is quite smokey with biscuit, chocolate and wood playing back-up. Water like aroma, light bubbles.

Orlando, Fl. - Knightly Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper, murky colored pour - thin, off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Smoky-sweet aroma with some good peaty, earthy accents. Good smokey bar-b-q flavor that does not get cloying or hit you with a hammer - nice and sweet and subtle. Back end has a hint of sweet Christmas-like spice. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Very solid.

Bottle shared by lithy. Poured a brownish red with an off-white head. Aromas of smoke and caramel. The flavor was slightly lighter on the smoke with hints of milk chocolate and a hop background. Light to medium body.
