Commercial Description:
To honor 14 years of making craft beer we decided to brew a wheat wine. This unfiltered brew is made with over 50% wheat to give it a distinctly spicy character. Enjoy it now, or if you have the patience, give it some time in your cellar. When you are ready, expect to find notes of tart wheat and honey with crisp bitterness and carbonation. Recipe by Head Brewer Chris Wilson and Brewer Jeff Musselman.

Thanks to Tony from OTH for sharing this one. Pours hazy orange with an off-white head. Nose is honey, banana, wheat, citrus, clove, and booziness. Flavor is quite the same with lots of boozy quality and reminiscent of a Belgian White Ale squared. Interesting with lots of sugar and heat.

12oz bottle courtesy of brentfeesh. Pours a cloudy dark orange with an initial 2 finger creamy tan head. The nose is toffee, sweet fruits, bubble gum and alcohol. The taste is caramel, brown sugar, candied fruit and banana bubblegum. Medium creamy mouthfeel. On the sweet side, but that hides the 11.8% nicely. Good beer – thanks Brent!

Bottle - Pours a hazy darkish orange-amber in color with an almost non-existent white head. Aroma is honey sweet and spicy. Some yeastiness and fruity esters (hefe-like clove/banana?). Flavor is medium sweet, but the hop bitterness and the sourness of the wheat mostly balance that out. Belgian yeast, some harsh phenolics (needs aging!)... some orange/coriander. If I find this again (and I will look), I would let it cellar for a while. One of the more interesting wheat wines I’ve had. I liked it...

bottle, pours a bright blood orange with a medium off white head. Nice honey, yeast, and wheat spice nose. Wow, what a nice sweet honey and wheat body. Hints of lightly toasted malts and nuttyness, but overall very clean and sweet. Mild hop bitterness with spicing in a lingering finish. Crisp carbonation. Superb.

Pours amber with a white head. Smells of wheat, some grassy elements, citrus. Tastes of over the top citrus, sweet, grassy. Nice!

The pour is really orange, like a belgian wit and has a solid white head that sits a bit but turns to a ringlet really fast. The aroma on this is really quite mild. The typical wheat beer aromas are there, in double intensity, but still not strong. Hard to explain. Some esters, a good dose of spice, Belgian yeast, and a touch of booze. The flavor is huge banana with a touch of bubblegum, phenolics on the sides of the tongue (definite black pepper), and a fair amount of alcohol burn.

Interesting and odd beer. Body of a light pale ale. Taste of a barley wine. Alcohol is strong. Malty without the caramel taste of a barley wine or similar beer.
