Oct 5, 2009 bottle. Cloudy yellow pour. Sweet aroma of cloves, bubblegum, allspice, brown sugar, caramel and some hops. Flavor is sweet and full bodied. wheat, caramel, citrus, bananas and yeast. Not bad, actually grew on me sip by sip.

Oct 5, 2009 Bottle. Moderate grain and cereal for the malt, flowers and lemon for the hops, barnyard and musty for the yeast, with hints of white wine, nutmeg and squash. Head is average size, creamy but thins to wispy, white with fair lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Color is murky orange/tan. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and bitter. Palate ismedium, oily, with a lively carbonation and a moderately alcoholic finish. A good beer, but more like an Imperial Saison. Much of the aroma reminds me of candle shop.

Oct 4, 2009 Courtesy SoLan. Pours a cloudy golden yellow color with a small white head. The aroma shows some citrus fruit, bananas, clove and alcohol booze. The flavor follows with the banana, honey, and other citrus fruit to go with some wheat, yeast, and peppery spice. The flavor is very sweet especially from the high amount of alcohol. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and fairly smooth and a lengthy, sweet and warm finish. Nothing exciting about this one.

Oct 3, 2009 draft @ redlight redlight. Strong spicy notes on the nose, citrusy with hints of bananas as well. Pours cloudy orange with a dense white head. Sweet wheaty character, citrusy, with hints of clove in the flavor.

Oct 3, 2009 Just overwhelmingly boozy, to the point where it was difficult to finish the glass. I suspect this will be waaaay better after some time in the cellar, so that’s what I’m doing with the other 3.

Oct 2, 2009 This bottle has restored my faith in wheatwines! Pours an unassuming hazy gold body with a small almond head. Aroma is fruity, with melon, orange pulp, banana, and lemon. Twangy wheat and some booze complete the aroma. Body is medium full with a silky carbonation. Taste opens with a wheat twang, but the fruitiness quickly takes centrestage. Melon, banana, orange, and lemon are here and there into the finish. Some peppery alcohol, but not as hot as expected. Damned good wheatwine here!

Oct 2, 2009 12oz bottle from Liquor Depot (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy amber copper color with one finger white head that settles quickly. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of phenol, honey, caramel, floral esters, banana. Flavor is sweet and boozy with notes of banana, honey, phenol, caramel, wheat, yeast, some hints of spice. Generally medium body with a boozy wheat finish.

Sep 30, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours a hazy orange-amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of wheat, alcohol, banana, clove, spices, fruits. More of the same in the flavor, with a lot of booze. Shawn has a good point, in that this might need to age for a while first. Not particularly balanced, and disappointing.
