The aroma was sweet, sugary and very fruity with notes of strawberry, apple and caramel. The flavor was strongly sugary with strong notes of apple, pineapple, citrus and candied ginger and light undertones of dry spices. There was a whole lot going on with this one and flavors really cascaded as the flavors lingered on the finish. The body was thick and full. Some alcohol did show through. Awesome.

Medium orange-amber with smallish but lasting even head of tight white foam. Aroma of alcohol, some spicy yeast, honey, lemon. Mostly alcohol. Thick bodied with a fairly aggressive though fine carbonation. Flavors continue the alcohol theme, some spice, lingering lemon and tart apple, solvent. FunkyBrewster (462), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Thanks 17thfloor! Pours a golden red color with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet with malt and honey, a nice floral fruity character and a biting vinous and a bit of malt vinegar. Flavor starts with a sweet and smooth malt, wheat character. Excellent presence of soft sweet being pushed by a spicy and lightly tart character. The balance is there as both the sweet and tart and bitter all meld until the finish which is burning with alcohol, which sticks to and burns the throat. Once that settles it could be great though. Medium to full sticky body and a tickling carbonation. Give this beer some time and it will be really good. smith4498 (883), Miami, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 23, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Green’s on Ponce De Leon. Nice looking wheat wine/barley wine. Haze dark orange with a slight head sitting on top. Looks pretty good to me. Fairly pungent honey, yeast, and banana aroma; smells like a really good wheat wine to me. More banana than anything else. Flavor is fairly sweet with the alcohol being quite noticeable. Slight banana flavor, with a weak yeast flavor and not much on the honey. The banana is coming through more and more as I continue to sip this thing. The alcohol is little too noticeable for me. Yeast is making more of a statement as the beer warms. Fairly creamy texture. I can imagine myself drinking this when it is absolutely freezing outside.
