Commercial Description:
To honor 14 years of making craft beer we decided to brew a wheat wine. This unfiltered brew is made with over 50% wheat to give it a distinctly spicy character. Enjoy it now, or if you have the patience, give it some time in your cellar. When you are ready, expect to find notes of tart wheat and honey with crisp bitterness and carbonation. Recipe by Head Brewer Chris Wilson and Brewer Jeff Musselman.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, fruit, peaches, alcohol, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and dusty hops. The alcohol burn in the throat. Thanks CaptainCougar for coming to Denmark and sharing this.

Unclear orange with a tiny beige head. Sweet fruity aroma with malty and mild hoppy notes. Sweet flavour that went the same way. Bitter and strong finish that gave it warming alcohol.

12oz bottle. Small off-white head atop cloudy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, peach, alcohol/vinous, caramel, light spicy. Taste is sweet, alcohol, wheat, some cherry, vinous, banana, caramel. Full body with wheaty creaminess. As it is, it’s not bad, but if it didn’t have the booziness, it would be a winner.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amberish color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of bananas, fruity, cloves/spices, wheatiness, and candi sugar. Tastes of bananas, wheaty (more than the aromas), spiciness, and candi sugar. Medium alcohol in the finish.

Pours a hazy orange bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of rich sweet malted wheat and light fruity esters. Starts with a fairly heavy fullness and rich malty sweetness with some caramel sugar and plenty of light fruity notes. Finishes semi-sweet with lots of lingering warmth and a touch of fusels. I don’t know what it is with the higher abv Weyerbacher beers, but they don’t seem to hide their alcohol as well as they could.

Bottle… Murky dirty-orange ale with a compact, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. The bouquet is fruity and tangy with spicy Belgian notes – clove, lemon grass, pear and apricot. Full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and mellow carbonation. Fruity and sweet; boozy and spicy; moderately bitter and mildly acidic. Tangy, bittersweet finish. There’s a lot going on here – not all of it good. Not bad either.
