The aroma is sweeeeeet hops. The flavor is slightly bitter with nice sweet pine and citrus hops grown fresh from the FARM. Thanks Weyerbacher tarheels86 (799), Washington DC, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2009 On tap at RFD. Pours a clear, medium amber with a small, white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is apple cider vinegar with some sour apple notes. This smells a bit past it’s prime. No beta acid hops or resiny/herbal hops. Taste is mostly bitter nuttiness and biscuity malt with a prevailing dryness that makes this beer a little boring. Dogbrick (2901), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2009 This brew is a lightly hazed copper-orange color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of Simcoe hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately hoppy character that has notes of flowers, citrus, and bread . The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness that is replaced by some musty malt. Above average overall. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Pours a clean copper amber with a creamy two finger sandstone tan head. The nose is sweet, citrusy and fruity, some ripe navel orange. Flavor has a nice sweetness with a mild grassy bitterness, some citrusy hops. Not as much flavor as I would like. Resinous coating bitterness. areyouinning (72), North Carolina, USA

Constant bitterness throughout, with a slight residue left over. Pleasantly smooth body. MrBunn (1551), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Bottle. Lovely copper body with a finger of dense off-white head. Aromas have a sweet apple juice base to them with some swirling hops... grass and a hint of citrus here and there. Still, the hop aromas are hard to pick out and inconsistent. I like the flavor of this, in spite of the weak nose. It is a pretty good harvest type IPA, but would get kicked around pretty good by an American IPA with some attitude. The apple/caramel malt mixes well with some grass and resin (but it doesn’t really go so far as a pine flavor). JCB (1791), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2009 12oz bottle from Sam’s, Durham. A handsome pour of slightly hazy amber with crisp carbonation. Nose is grassy, with a modest malt sweetness. Strange but there’s little about the beer that resembles the autumnal wet hop brews I expect. Certainly an enjoyable variation on an IPA - with plenty o’ centennial if I’m not mistaken - but not the distinctively dank, pungent hops I was hoping for. Decent. keepersj12 (811), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2009 This seems to be mislabeled. Tastes more like an Oktoberfest beer to me. Light caramel earthy aroma. Pours clear amber with a big fluffy head that laces nicely. Flavor is more like a marzen with a big hop bite. Nice dry finish. Solid beer from a good brewery.
