Great beer that’s hoppy hoppy hoppy. Not as clean hoppy as a lot of the harvest beers, but there’s a funk there that I’m all too fond of. Like skunky reeking hops. Great hop profile of bitter funk, tangy sweet citrus and some flowers. Nice and easy to drink. Great beer.

Bottle shared by doulos31/goodgrief. Pour was amber with some chill haze. The aroma was grassy earthy vegetal notes over top of a caramel base. The flavor was pretty much in sync with the aroma, not much exciting here, malty stickier than anything else and the earthy vegetal notes were a distraction. Needed way more hops, weak bottle?

Bottle [12oz]. Pours a slightly hazy golden-amber with an average size foamy off-white head. Decent lacing. Slightly mild, simple but pleasant, aroma of floral hops, sweet bready malt and grass. Slightly sweet flavour of caramel malt and fruit along with some alcohol, grass and the hops mostly in the finish. Average bodied. Nothing earth-shattering but a fine beer, I’d drink a few pints of this on tap.

Bottle. Pours a nice amber with a thin white head. Aroma is floral hops with a bit of sweet malts. Notes of grass come out. On the palate, it is light and refreshing, but a bit watered down. The flavor brings out the fresh hops. It finishes crisp with a bit of a bitter bite. A little too weak, esspecially in the hops department, but very refreshing.

Bottle. Pours dark hazy amber with medium off-white head and great lacing all the way down. Nose is bitter hops and not as much resin or citrus as hoped. Some herbal notes. Bitterness is dominant, and crisp is finish. Palate not too interesting. Solid if unamazing.

From a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours copper color with fluffy and creamy white head that leaves lacing. Not too much aroma. Taste is of bitter grapefruit hops and some honey. Mouthfeel is kind of flat. It could use some more carbonation to lighten it up a bit. It’s not a bad beer but not one of the great IPAs either. Weyerbacher’s double simcoe is much better with more depth of hop flavors.
