| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a nice amber with a thin white head. Aroma is floral hops with a bit of sweet malts. Notes of grass come out. On the palate, it is light and refreshing, but a bit watered down. The flavor brings out the fresh hops. It finishes crisp with a bit of a bitter bite. A little too weak, esspecially in the hops department, but very refreshing. durhambeer (1227), Durham, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark hazy amber with medium off-white head and great lacing all the way down. Nose is bitter hops and not as much resin or citrus as hoped. Some herbal notes. Bitterness is dominant, and crisp is finish. Palate not too interesting. Solid if unamazing. dagimp (134), Philly, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2009 From a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours copper color with fluffy and creamy white head that leaves lacing. Not too much aroma. Taste is of bitter grapefruit hops and some honey. Mouthfeel is kind of flat. It could use some more carbonation to lighten it up a bit. It’s not a bad beer but not one of the great IPAs either. Weyerbacher’s double simcoe is much better with more depth of hop flavors. jonnabrix (136), Newberrytown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Pours clear, and amber/copper in color with a nice thin white head that quickly diminishes. Mild hop aroma. The flavor is a nice balance between herbal, citrusy hops and a sweet caramel malt. This is very drinkable. Nephilium (557), Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Decent green hop aroma, pours a clear amber, with a dusting of white head. Nice oily hop flavor, with a touch of caramel behind it. Not a bad IPA, but I’ve had several better Harvest Ales. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Amber gold color, nice fluffy head. Mild aroma. Nice hoppy flavor with a real good level of bitterness from citrusy, herbal hops. Caramel malt backbone adds some, but not overwhelming, sweetness. I really liked it. merlin48 (520), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Clear amber body is topped by a tall almond head. Lots of sticky lace is left on the glass. Aroma is citrusy and grassy hops with a hint of toasted caramel. Taste features leafy and and earthy hop bitterness. Caramel malt sweetness is barely noticed and struggles to balance. Very bitter hoppiness, epsecially into the aftertaste. A solid American IPA. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Bottle ( 12oz ). Clear bright refractive amber, large foamy-fizzy lasting beige head. Nice lush grain and dried leaf bitterness - smells like fall. The taste is a bit ESB-ish - malty, dry (hint of metallic acidity), light, increasing resin bitterness - a little more alcohol than in the nose. Light, dry and bitter mouthfeel, quick finish. A bit light, but crisp.
