Commercial Description:
Crisp and refreshing, light and flavorful, Weyerbacher HefeWeizen is a fantastic summertime quencher and the perfect companion for almost any food. The beautiful translucent gold color together with a hint of banana and cloves in the nose tells you this is a beer true to the Bavarian style. We brew it with 50% wheat malt and bottle it unfiltered, so you’ll notice great body and a smooth, slightly nutty flavor. The finish is light and refreshing.

Cloudy and orange with a nice white head. Pronounced citrus is present in both the nose and the taste.

Cloudy orange appearance with a large, white head. Aroma of wheat, banana and light spices. Medium bodied drink that was crisp and smooth. It was a good German style hefe. Refreshing.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a moderate white head that disappeared after a few minutes. Strong, unpleasant sour aroma. The flavor is a bit more palatable with the sourness more subdued and some cloves and citrus present as well. There were no banana flavors noted at all. There was a light metallic flavor in the aftertaste that I did not care for. Without question, this was the worst beer I have sampled from this brewer and I have a hard time believing they would put this stuff on the shelves tasting like this.

Not good. Barely drinkable. Not much of an aroma and very sour taste. The aroma was like feet. Save your money.

Hazy orangish yellow. Aroma is tart lemons and spices, light malts. Flavor is thin for the style, relatively bland and simple. Drinkable but boring.

Orangish amber pour with little to no head. Citrus peel aroma, yeast, some banana. Funky, kind of sour, odd. None of the traditional hefe flavors that I would expect. This tastes nothing like it smells, very disappointing.

22 oz bottle. Golden in color, slightly hazy. Aroma: very sour, some barnyard. Taste: Sour, this one is obviously contaminated...
