Jul 17, 2008 Deep amber/orange, pours almost opaque with a thin head, bu the head quickly disappears and settles transparent. The arome is nice and hoppy with elemens of sour apple and citrus, but not super strong for an ipa. The mouthfeel is decent, but unremarkable and thin. The hop flavor is very nice and crisp, and is acented by pine amd bitter blood range. The finish is clean on the throat with a lasting hop bite. This is avery nice ipa, easy to drink for an ipa. INOt quite a sessino beer, but my palate isn’t destroyed after one. Definitely a do-over.

Jul 11, 2008 Pours a copper/reddish color with a thin head. Just some spotty lacing. Aroma is malt with some floral hopping. Sweet caramel malt flavor, crisp bitter hops, a touch of tropical fruit and a little dry. Stronger flavor than the aroma would indicate. Good but not great.

Jul 11, 2008 $1.65 for a single at Greenlife in Asheville, NC. What a steal!
Appearance: Pours out a clear orange-hued body with a soapy, light biege-colored head. Plenty of great lacing throughout.
Smell: Even halfway through pouring the beer, I could already begin smelling citrus fruits. Leaning in closer, there’s plenty of oranges, grapefruits, and passionfruits. Not to be outdone, there’s also some malty caramel and toasted grains present as well.
Taste: Initially, there’s an outpouring of sugary sweetness and juicy orange, with a zesty lemon flavor close behind. A dash of cream and some caramel before one last flare of fruit flavor hits the tongue right upon swallowing. Finishes with a minty herbaceousness that lingers for quite awhile. Sure, there’s plenty of hop flavor, but any sharp, biting bitterness remains muzzled.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body with a fair amount of carbonation and an oily mouthfeel.
Drinkability: An enjoyable IPA. Sort of a forebearer to the heartier Double Simcoe IPA.

Jul 3, 2008 Very hoppy aroma. Incredibly hoppy taste and aftertaste. Had this on tap and enjoyed it quite a bit. For someone who likes bitter and hoppy beer a must try.

Jul 3, 2008 On tap. Pours amber. Nose is hoppy and also humid moldy from a second hop.
Well balanced between the hops and malt, giving a little thick mouthfeel.
I was hoping for a beer that was very hoppy, this one falls a little flat.
A good IPA nonetheless.

Jun 28, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a very nice amber color with a light head. Combination of citrus pine and bread flavors. Floral on the finish. Medium bodied. About what I expected. Not a bad IPA.
