Taste is much of the same. Getting some kind of a "soapy" taste in it at the front. Pretty bitter, and cloying. Decent brew, but there are better. hellbilly (1567), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

MALT A TOUCH ON THE STRAWSIDE. REFRESHING. HARD FOR ME TO PICK UP DELICATE FLAVORS HERE... IT’S JUST TOO (BLACK) PEPPERY. SUPPOSING THE BALANCE IS THERE THEN THE CHEMISTRY IS OFF IN THIS BOTTLE. BITTER HITS THE RIGHT SPOT. AN IPA INSISTING ON IT’S OWN IDENTITY. rajendra82 (705), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Obtained as part of BIF 30 from BA Wren, Hops Infusion IPA came in a 12 oz. brown bottle with a close up of a hop cone on the label. The beer pured out the typical reddish amber color of an IPA, and had a generous pillowy head. Rather mild in aroma for the style, the spicy hop smell would have been more at home in an English IPA. The taste was herbal in bitterness, with a candy sugar like sweetness to counter the bitterness. Not a lot of citric effects to the hops, but I did notice some faint floral notes. Quite light in the mouth, which prevented the flavors from sticking and lingering. A decent IPA, but not mind blowing. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Smell of hops, pine, citrus, candy, malt, flowers and spice. Taste of caramel, sugar, malt, hops, citrus, zest, alcohol and a nice bitter finish. Hints of pine come in at the end. Decent IPA.
