Flavors are really nice you’ve got some grapefruit, citrus, piney, and grassy flavors with a caramelly malt background. The bitterness isn’t that strong in this beer either so some non-hop heads I let try it actually sort of liked it too. I could drink this beer everyday, and I think that’s an impressive statement. wunderbier (1271), Tampere, Finland
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 24, 2007 Medium peach-gold hue with a thing, white and frothy head. Soft aroma of lemon drops, key lime pie and toast. Grass and diacetyl elements occur as it warms. Flavor is also tame, starting with some light caramel and fading into a lemon bitterness and slight tea-like astringency. Disturbingly low acidity, almost lager like. Medium light bodied with a slick texture. Undercarbonated, in my opinion. 12 oz bottle, snifter. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Copper color with small whitish head. Pretty basic ipa with decent malt backbone and some good citrusy hops. Light pine taste as well. Reminded me more of a strong Pale Ale than an IPA. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 12, 2007 This has a copper body that holds a slight haze and is capped by a healthy off-white head. Good hoppy aroma of pine, wildflowers, and grapefruit over some quietly sweet malts. The malt takes on a caramel flavor but is aggressively matched by the hops’ bitterness. The finish is a mild pine, grass, and citrus zest bitterness. Pretty decent.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Hazy amber-orangeish hue, with a fluffly beige head, but falling quickly, leaving laces, nice sweet toasted malt, resiny nose, with a good flowery cascade hop note, giving a candied orange peel fruitiness, with some leafy, piney, coniferous accents, with some faint caramel and toffeeish notes in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp hop pineyneess character, nice grassy, leafey, cedary accents, with a touch citrus hop fruitiness, a bit resiny, powerful mouthfeel i.p.a., with mild toffeeish and caramel background, leading towards a dominant floral hop bitterness finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2007 Delicious session beer. Great hop aroma and flavor. An all around well-balanced beer. Poured a little darker that a pale ale normally does but it was overall tasty and refreshing. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Updated: Mar 10, 2009Bottle: I was impressed with this stuff. Pours a nice bronze amber with an off-white one-finger head and leaves a nice lacing. Extremely aromatic. Huge sweet hoppyness (amarillo?), orange notes, ginger cookie background. The flavor is great as well. Many times with IPA style brews the aroma gets your hopes up and the flavor dissappoints you; not with this one. Creamy and velvety mouthfeel. Some spicy, herbal flavors, with a hint of soapyness. Plenty of pine needles. There’s a perfect amount of sticky, sweet, chewy malts to balance this quality IPA. Great drinkability, great stuff!
