| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear orange with a large head. Leaves fair lacing. Aroma wasn’t your average for high hopped beers; not much citrus, not much pine. It smelled more perfume, celery, floral, a little resin. Taste starts out as sweet malt (toffee), and end with the hops, with a little citrus. Medium bodied. The flavors balance a bit more for an IPA. Pretty good. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2006 Bottle - nice, big hop nose. Plenty of grassy and piney hops - more piney. Darkish golden to light amber body with a beige head. The flavor is more bitter than the aroma, which is a good thing for me! The hops and malt are bordering on unbalanced toward the hops, which is also a good thing for me! A really tastey IPA. So dry that it makes you thirsty ... I need another. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2006 A tasty IPA. Pours a deep, cloudy brown in color with a small white head. Nice big hop aroma. Flavor is big, pleasantly bitter hops up front over a nice soft malty backbone. I thought it was very well balanced and enjoyable. LinusStick (1846), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 2, 2006 Wow!! This hazy dark red/brown masterpiece is one of the most bitter beers I have come across! The head was non-existent probably because the hops didn’t want it there and they call the shots in this beer. The aroma was (of course)hoppy but they let some citrus come through as well. The face you make after this beer is the same Tom made in Tom and Jerry after eating alum (pucker) CelticBrew (696), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2006 Pours out medium to dark amber, little to no head. Aroma of hops, hops and more hops, with a slight odor of ocean and wet forrest. Flavor is wonderful hoppish citrus, malts. Hops Infusion is a proper name for this lovely IPA beer, however Victory’s Hop Devil, Dogfish Heads 60 & 90, and Pyramids Thunderhead is a level of above this. Weyerbacher has a very good beer here, nicely sessionable. Warning: Its 6%+ ABV can sneak up on you, but its wonderfully delightful! GriffinAvenue (396), Winchester, Massachusetts, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 25, 2006 Draft. Light orange in color. Thin to no head. Somewhat flat in appearance, like a stale soda. Light, empty, watery first taste. Quick finish with pleasant hoppy/alcohol report. Confusing beer to me . . . has promise but doesn’t quite get it going. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2006 Wow, I have had lots of Weyerbacher brews and thought for sure I had gotten this before. This thing has a ton of citrusy hops, almost producing a burn on the tongue like it has pepper in it. Gotta say that I liked it tho’ Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
