Oct 12, 2006 Updated: Jun 28, 2008Great look (reddish amber with a nice head and lacing) and aroma (grapefruit and hops) to this beer. Mouthfeel is nice with a clean bitter finish. It’s not a top tier IPA but it’s very nice. I’ll need to do a re-rate soon because I’ve had 6 or 10 of these previously and I’m liking it more than I remember.
Re-rate: I bought another case of this and it definitely has a more sour taste then I remember. Not sure what’s going on with this stuff. Busting it back.

Oct 5, 2006 12 oz. bottle from Shoreline. Drank on 8/22/06. Clear, copper, solid 1" rocky creamy off-white / light tan head. Drops quickly to a nice thick layer of foam that sticks around. Good lacing. Aroma - not too strong. Mostly fruity hops and a little candy-like sweetness - some orangy citrus. Flavor - Fairly bitter throughout. Balanced in the middle, but towards bitterness. Citrusy hop flavor in the finish along with some sweetness. Palate - solid medium. Good carb. Dry finish. Overall - This is an OK IPA. It’s well balanced and has good bitterness, but I’m just not crazy about the orangy citrus hop flavor and aroma. Good, but nothing great.

Oct 4, 2006 This poured with a very large white head. The aroma was very floraly and pungent. Was a little grassy in flavor and aroma but not overpowering. Also a nice mild bitterness. This definitely has a lot of hops in it but it was still balanced with pretty sweet malty taste.

Oct 4, 2006 Deep amber color. Small foamy head without a lot of bubbles. Nice hops aroma. That is all I smell, beautiful delicious hops. Full bodied, thick, heavy hops flavor. This is all hops and a great combination. Very complimentary. Smooth, gently warming sensation, with a bit of a grapefruit aftertaste.

Oct 1, 2006 Updated: Jan 13, 2007Rerated 1/12/2007 - 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a moderate off-white head that lasted through most of the glass. Very nice lacing. Pleasant aroma of hops, citrus and some sweet malt. The hops and malt were both present in the flavor with neither overpowering the other. Considering the amount of hops, this beer was not excessively bitter and did not have that dry, puckery finish that some over-hopped IPA’s leave you with. Good stuff!

Sep 26, 2006 Faint grass and straw aromas. Taste is subtle, slightly creamy as you get towards a nicely bitter finish that reminds you what style of beer you are drinking.

Sep 26, 2006 Pours a standard light amber color with a hint of gold. The aroma is pleasant, but not overpowering with the hops. In fact, it doesn’t smell too hoppy at all, rather well balanced with a slight floral smell. About .5"-1" head of off white fluffiness.
The taste is very nice and well balanced. Hops up front, malt in the middle and hops on the aftertaste. Almost as if this beer has been infused with hops.
