| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2008 12oz bottle. Thanks to Swolf3 for the hook up. Big pumpkin pie spice aroma, very nice. Poured a nice dark amber with a nice white head. Good spicy flavor to it, not as good as Pumking but a very good pumpkin beer. jhumphries69 (728), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a deep and clear orange-red with amber/brown highlights and a thin, light tan head. The aroma is very spicy: particularly strong with cloves - but some cinnamon is evident, too. There are also notes of clean and grainy base malt with some yeast. Alcohol is present in the nose, too. The flavor starts strong with cloves, some cinnamon, and some toasted bread. The cloves grow as the beer goes down - a lot. The finish is a little dry with lots of cloves, some cinnamon, a mild bitterness, and some grainy, toasty malts. The mouthfeel is very crisply carbonated and feels almost drying/astringent from the level of spices (cinnamon, some clove). The body seems a little thin for such a strong beer. Overall - too much spice. The cloves and cinnamon seem to overpower the other flavors in the beer - especially any notes of pumpkin. I was a bit disappointed... Pours a deep pumpkin orange color, with a lively fizzy carbonated head. Foam retains it’s way down the glass as I consume it. Flavor is mild pumpkin, some nice pumpkin pie spices, a bit of alcohol/pepper. Medium bodied, lingering spice on the palate. Well done, I wish I could drink this more often. I can get this in a bomber but I decided to give it a try anyways. Coming in a goblet this is probably one of the best pumpkin beers that I have had. Weyerbacher is slowly getting back in my good graces; as I clear out the cellar I may have to try some of their imperial stouts and other releases. They certainly are not hard to find around this area.
Aroma / Appearance - The deep maroon body was as dark as I have seen in this style. Sticky lacing and a minimal head gave it great character. The smell of cooked pumpkin, brown sugar, spice, and caramel made it over the top and in the face. Some people may find that a flaw; I thought it made it stand out in sea of blandness.
Flavor / Palate - Thick and creamy this definitely earns the ’imperial’ label. Carbonated until the end the smooth bitterness holds together a rich experience. Well balanced with a blend of spices, ginger, brown sugar, and pumpkin filling made it worth every sip. The finish was like a perfectly cooked pupmkin roll. All in all this is one that I may have to remember to pick up again next October. iride15 (171), Orlando, Florida, USA

Dark amber and orange pour with a white head. great spice and flavor combo. Lost some of the flavor after warming though. Definitely top of the line brew for the season. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 23, 2008 This is actually on the top of the list for pumpkin beers. Dark orange-amber pour with a wispy white head. Sweet, spiced aroma of canned pumpkin with a lot of sugar added. Flavor obviously has a lot of pumpkin present with a rich, spicy mouthfeel. As it warmed, I got a slight tinge of a plastic-y taste, however, this beer is good for what it is.
