Jul 29, 2008 Fresh 2008 bottle. Wow. Pours a dark amber/brown with thick light tan head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet, sweet pumpkin, nutmeg, and slight cinnamon. Flavor of initial sharp spices (nutmeg), with a sweet, spicy, pumpkiny finish. I also get lots of vegetable (squash, zucchini, carrot) and a luscious pumpkin pie finish. Very sweet and tasty with a nice spice bouquet. A little heavy but not overbearing. Wow, one of my favorite pumpkin ales. Fresh, this baby is killer.

Jul 28, 2008 Bottle. Aroma and flavor exactly what a pumpkin ale should be, all those spices and pumpkin, toasted malt keeping it reminiscent of beer. Very well done with the highish abv of keeping the flavors robust without overdoing the spices or letting it get too sweet. Very clean, dry finish for all the pumpkin ale stuff going on. Very nice.

Jul 11, 2008 Pours a dark amber color with an off white head. Aroma is of cinnamon cardamom cloves and pumpkin. Flavor is very spicey with a lot of cinnamon and cardamom showing through. Very nice pumpkin pie flavor and hides the alcohol very well. IMHO second only to Pumking

Jul 8, 2008 Deep amber color with a long lasting foam. Bountiful nose of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, as well as a variety of fruits. Lots of taste and complexity. Pumkin pie, all spice, other spices, cinnamon, chocolate and caramel, with nutmeg, clove and a touch of apple as well. This is the best pumpkin flavor out there that I’ve tried. Even better than Pumpking. This is a beer Weyerbacher should be proud of.

Jul 8, 2008 This poured copper/amber/brown in color that poured a medium-sized head but it completely dissipated quickly. The nose is filled with spice, orange and some light caramel. In the mouth it was medium to full-bodied and almost as spicy as the nose. The mid-palate is dense but fades to a light, dry finish that lacks flavor. This was quite enjoyable but I feel would have been even better a year ago.

Jun 30, 2008 22oz bottle. poured deep amber, with a sizable khaki head. Aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg, with some caramel malt. Flavor is rich and malty, with accents of pumpkin and spices. Long, pumpkin pie finish, heavy on the spices.

May 15, 2008 Bottle. Hazy medium brown/orange body with a one inch foamy off white head. Nose-red wine, pumpkin, clove, cinnamon, pumpkin pie. Nice nose. Taste-cinnamon, clove, toasty, high CO2 mouthfeel, pumpkin, light alcohol on the backend, roasty toasty malts, thin dry finish, overall the pumpkin flavors are medium, clove, light saison like (white?) spices, tea. Overall a well done version of an odd style.
