Nose-red wine, pumpkin, clove, cinnamon, pumpkin pie. Nice nose. Taste-cinnamon, clove, toasty, high CO2 mouthfeel, pumpkin, light alcohol on the backend, roasty toasty malts, thin dry finish, overall the pumpkin flavors are medium, clove, light saison like (white?) spices, tea. Overall a well done version of an odd style. radiomgb (2072), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2008 Orange-amber in colour, thin but lingering off-white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma has lots of pumpkin and spices, quite in-your-face, some alcohol. The flavour again has lots of pumpkin, moderate sweetness with lots of spices, creamy and some alcohol. Spicy mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with lots of pumpkin, spice and moderate alcohol.
This isn’t lacking in pumpkin or spices. This one has balance and I don’t think I have ever said that about a Weyerbacher beer before. Definitely something that I couldn’t have often, once a year is enough.
650ml bottle obtained in a trade with HogTownHarry, thanks Harry.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- Pours a deep orangey red reminiscent of a blood moon. Absolutely gorgeous, clear and filtered with a good amount of carbonation present and a 1 finger eggshell head which retains longer than any pumpkin ale i’ve had.
S- Smell is definitely pumpkin, mixed spices, cinnamon comes out the most, with a malty backbone that lingers.
T- Taste starts out pumpkin and moves to a malty gingerbread with mixed spices thrown in. At the end you taste sharp hints of alcohol that go away pretty quick leaving gingerbread and graham cracker pie crust left on the palate.
M- Thick with a decent amount of carbonation. Very full with a sweet stickiness that grabs at the tongue.
D- For a pumpkin ale this is superb. Perhaps a making it a bit thinner and cranking up the carbonation a little would make this more drinkable for me but I think it sets itself apart from other pumpkins remarkably well. The abv is fairly well hidden which is something weyerbacher seems to do very well

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Strong pumpkin, cinnamon, allspice, and heavy nutmeg aroma. Cloudy copper thin off white head. Slightly phenolic, very spicy. Allspice and mint dominant. Faint cinnamon trail. Marvelous spiced beer! TheOrange (419), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2008 Pour is orange hued, with little to no off white bubbles for a head. The aroma has a citrus-like character to the hops, and the clove is very strong. The pumpkin flavor, is different then most pumpkin ales, I have had, the beer is very dry. and full bodied. Very enjoyable for veggie-beer, I will have to pick a couple more of these up for the fall! Hoptagon (145), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 16, 2008 22 oz. Bottle. A medium frothy head that laces nicely tops off this dark caramel colored brew. Aroma is a mixture of fall/winter spices with nutmeg and cloves dominating. I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin so I appreciate the fact that the pumpkin is not overdone in this beer. It shows up subtly in the flavor, but doesn’t dominate the way it can in some pumpkin beers. Body holds up nicely to all the spice, with a malt profile similar to many brown ales. Finish is relatively short with a bit of cloves. Hops are really subdued throughout. This beer and the Dogfish Punkin are my favorites for the fall pumpkin/spice category. Overall a unique and memorable beer. gunhaver (1044), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle, courtesy blankboy. Pours a golden, clear reddish copper. Big white head, and sticky creamy lacing. Aroma is full of pumpkin pie allright. Cinnamon, allspice, pine, cardamom, nutmeg...as expected. Very spicy flavors, mostly cinnamon and nutmeg. Pumpkin is quite prominent. Brown sugar flows well with everything, and it just tastes like a rich, delicious pumpkin pie. Smooth as velvet, yet a very nice spicy mouthfeel. Drinkable for ages. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Bomber from a long ago trade, shared with my girlfriend Cyn who has a thing for beers from PA. Pours dark organe with a tan head. Nose is big with hints of cinanammon nutmeg and pumpkin, a little too big. Taste is sweet and pumpkiny with hints of spice, this for me is no pumking, its got some good things but its just ok to me.
