I liked the flavor at first, then loved the spices, then decided that it could have used some more hops and finally decided that the lingering pumpkin taste was a bit much. For sure worth tasting as an adventure in spices. My last couple sips I alternated this beer with Point IPA and that worked really, really well. Bier brauen (214), Bremerton, Washington, USA

The aroma is very frisky and makes one aware of the spices. The taste follows suit with a very bold flavor. I cannot say that I would have another one, but it was worth the attempt. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Great beer that farly exceeded my expectations. Nice aroma of spices and nutmeg and cinnamon, cardamon, cloves, all spice, and PUMPKIN! Great beer that’s sweet but not sugary, spicy but not over done. Very good, and thinly crisp for how viscous these higher abv pumpkin beers are. jport4087 (93), Pennsylvania, USA

Flavor of nutmeg, cinnamon, metal. For some reason this beer seems to skirt my tongue - I struggle to taste it. The aftertaste is more pronounced than the taste for me. Quite bitter. Faint smell of tobacco. I’ve tried this last year and this year and it’s just not for me. jeremytoni (1114), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
