| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Bottle. Copper-red body with a small white ring of head. The aroma is heavy on spices - pumpkin, cinnamon, and sweet caramel. The flavour is reasonably balanced with notes of caramel, alochol, pumpkin, cinnamon, and mild spices. One of the better Pumpkin ales that I had in 2007. PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 9, 2008 his beer has a cloudy orangish brown body with no head. I can smell the pumpkin from 6 inches away. The aroma is complemented by cinnamon and cloves. The flavor has a ton of the clove flavor and a bit of the cinnamon on top of a nice little bit of pumpkin. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Pours a slightly fogged amber with minimal crème head. Nose is very smoked spices. Almost seems like a rauch to me. Flavor is definitely influenced by the alcohol, but not hijacked by it. Spices mix well and don’t overdo it. Pumpkin is mildly there. Feel has a biting carbonation to it. Drinkable, yes. In comparison to much of the pumpkin garbage out there, this is definitely a step above. However, it doesn’t carry the right tone of pumpkin character that it should I feel. Bottom line: Pumpking is just that. dsm (109), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a disappearing head and good carbonation. Its aroma is wheat, pumpkin, and a little bit of sour yeast. The taste is heavy on the pumpkin (a great thing), a bit of of nutmeg, cinnamon, and caramel. There are a lot of spices, but it still has a strong backbone and heartiness to it, and is not too sweet. But for DFH Punkin Ale, this would be my favorite of the style. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2008 Pours a cloudy brownish orange with a decent off-white head. Smells mostly of the spices, cinnamon and coriander with just a hint of pumpkin in the background. Tastes the same way, lots of pumpkin pie type spices and a bit of pumpkin to back that up.Palate is pretty good, tasty, tangy, good carbonation. Coats the palate a bit. This is a good brew but I think the spices would get to me after a while making this not such a great session beer. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pumpkin cleaning solution aroma has a bit of allspice. Clear, amber brown body with a quick foamy off-white head and some little floaties throughout. Grainy pumpkin pie crust flavour. Medium body. Really interesting. Radek Kliber (3962), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Appearance: Copper, reddish hues with tint of pink. White ring , midlle fizz. Nose : Hint of vanilla , clean straight pumpkin and plenty of variety of spices mixed with cookie dough. Flavor/Palate : Slightly harsh carbonation. Impression of vanilla and clove on pumpkin mush. Alcohol was well covered. Overall gave me impression of somewhat incoherent formula.
