Aroma is fairly pungent nutmeg, cinnamon, clove/pepper and other spice with some light pumpkin-ey and vanilla malt. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, lightly prickly but really not much texture as this beer seems quite filtered. Flavor is heavy nutmeg, cinnamon and clove with a fair bit of alchohol presence. Some vanilla and pumpkin maltiness underneath the spice. A little over the top with the spiciness. Has a bit of an artificial, contrived feel - besides that I just didn’t like the taste. thenick (746), North Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Pours a very nice deep red color with a small and quickly-dissipating off-white head. Aroma is mostly cinnamon with slight noticeable clove. Taste was all cinnamon up front, slowly giving way to clove, slight nutmeg, and slight pumpkin notes. One of the better pumpkin ales out there, but not my favorite. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 9, 2007 This poured a nice redish orange color with a light thin head that disappeared quickly. First taste was strong with cinnamon and cloves. This brew actually tastes better as it warms. Overall, this is definately one of the better pumpkin ales out there. crazyvin (1254), New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2007 I expected a little more out of this. It did pour a nice mahogany color with a thin white head that had no retention. Aroma was woody with some spices. Pumpkin note was very mild. The pumpkin was a little more noticeable in the flavor, and the alcohol was well hidden. My major disappointment was it seemed thin on the palate. A decent beer, it could have been better. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

The aroma was sweet malt, spices, and pumpkin. The flavor was sweet malt, pumpkin, spices, alcohol, and nutmeg. The palate was smooth. The finish was clean. emacgee (1891), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Pours a red-orange with a three finger yellow orange creamy head. The aroma is sweet spices, nutmeg most prominently, the cinnamon, cardamom , and clove a little less, pumpkin meat. Spicy flavor, sweet nutmeg, dry alcohol on the mouthfeel, pumpkin meat. The palate is warming and the spice stays in your mouth. Delicious. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Amazing. Pours a dark orangish color with a tan head. Has hints of caramel, oak, simple sugar, and of course pumpkin and spices. Finished warm and spicy on the palate. Best pumpkin ale I’ve had in a long time. xmarcnolanx (798), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Very vegetal aroma. Very pumpkin, and almost off-putting. Strange.
Taste is pumpkin and this strange woodsy-spice flavor that I just cannot put my finger on to save my life. Finish is almost non-existant, and what little there is it is somewhat bland.
Very, very average.
