Commercial Description:
Brewed with Pumpkin and Spices(Cinnamon,Nutmeg,Cardamom,Cloves). This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is heartier, spicier, and more caramelly and pumpkiny than its faint brethren! Perfect finisher on a cool autumn night, or match it up with a slice of pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream. If you don't agree this is the mother of all pumpkin ales, then you just don't like mothers!

Very vegetal aroma. Very pumpkin, and almost off-putting. Strange. Taste is pumpkin and this strange woodsy-spice flavor that I just cannot put my finger on to save my life. Finish is almost non-existant, and what little there is it is somewhat bland. Very, very average.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a nice deep amber, with a touch of red. Aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg. Warming alcohol hints in the background. The mouthfeel on this one is much more sweet, and the cinnamon notes seem bigger and bolder. Finishing spices take this one to the end. Very nice beer for the season.

Bottle; aroma of lots of various spice. Featured a more caramel/malt focused flavor than many other pumpkin beers. The ending spice, while pronounced, was more complimentary. For those reasons, it was more balanced and drinkable than other beers of the style.

This is the best pumkin ale i’ve had. Pours a rich shade of amber with big frothy head. Nice mellow spicy aroma. Flavor is not as offensive as most pumkin beers. Velvety mouthfeel with a pumkin pie finish. Very crisp and clean I will definately get some next halloween

Bottle courtesy of Franksnbeans. Thanks!
Rich Amber to maroon color. Keeps a huge frothy lasting beige head. Gorgeous beer. Big meaty pumpkin pie aroma, especially after 1st opening, and just a faint hint of alcohol. Flavor is nice, typical spices associated with the style, but not as robustly flavored and intense as I expected. Mouthfeel is great, and nicely thick, which most pumpkins seem to lack, and the alcohol is hidden well and only peeks out minimally. Great pumpkin beer all around, but I actually prefered the flavor of Schlafly’s Pumpkin, while maybe not the mouthfeel of it.

orangish brown appearance nose gives off hints of alcohol. the flavor is wonderful compared to the other pumpkins i have had this season. the beer has a strong pumpkin character with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon but the key is the extra malt character and alcohol finish that really balance this beer and make it a good overall beer, not just a solid pumpkin ale. very impressed

22 oz bomber. Pours a nice clear reddish amber with a god size slightly off white dense head. Very spicey aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves plus some vanilla and maye even a slight touch of alcohol but not much detectable pumpkin. Very nice palate with a rich full mouthfeel and lively carbonation dancing off the back of my throat. Flavor has just enough spice present without it being overwhelming or being to weak. Aftertaste of malts that finishes crsip with a slight lingering prescence. Nicely done.

22oz bottle. Pours clear copper in color with full foamy brown head. Aroma of spice, pumpkin and sweet caramel. Taste of spice, spice and pumpkin with clean finish.
