Smells a bit hot, but tastes just like what I hope for from a pumpkin. Loads of marzipan and clove mingled with cinnamon and nutmeg, great carbonation all together balance out the alcohol very well. Slightest bit of peppermint on the finish. Beats Dogfish Head, hands down, in my opinion JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2007 What an excellent idea, an imperial pumpkin? Sampled this at Whole Foods in Falls Church, VA. Pours an orangish amber with a brown-tinged, cream head. Smells of pumpkin pie, clove spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and fresh raked leaves. All that spice riding on top of a solid malty, full malt palate and prodigious alcohol. Really glad to have tried this one. It certainly kickstarted my enjoyment of fall, Octoberfest, bratwurst, football and everything else that makes this season great. michael-pollack (2693), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured amber/orange in color with a huge, foamy, rocky, tan head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and alcohol. Medium body. Tingly texture. Average to lively carbonation. Spicy, lightly dry, alcohol finish. Overall, not that much flavor. swoopjones (1915), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Nose of pumkin pie with whipped cream (probably cool-whip), also strong notes of alcohol & dried fruit are present. Pours a sparkling orange. The very nice cascade resolves into a tall fizzy and somewhat rocky beige head that is fully lasting with good lace. The start is malty, the middle is sweet with just a hint of tang, and the finish is brief and somewhat grainy. I noticed that the gravity is well hidden. The medium soft body is very creamy, the finish feels slightly alcoholic. Honestly, this could pass for a good belgian. Birdiebeagle (788), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Draft at Mosqutto grill. Pours a clear copper with a tan head. Had a good spicy aroma of the holiday. On first taste seemed a little lacking of the aroma. After the second taste the flavors exploded. I tend to enjoy weyerbachers brews and this one didn’t disappoint me. A very fun seasonal beer. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Bomber. Crystal clear copper with a beige head. Bold, spicy nose of cinnamon, cardamom, and clove, some very light pumpkin and sweet caramel. Flavor is all spice, with the cinnamon and clove leading the way, a tad hot. The pumpkin finally makes a decent showing in the finish, and a warming alcohol burn settles deep in the gullet. One of the few Weyerbachers I find truly interesting. golubj (1289), Sunnyvale, California, USA
