Bold, spicy nose of cinnamon, cardamom, and clove, some very light pumpkin and sweet caramel. Flavor is all spice, with the cinnamon and clove leading the way, a tad hot. The pumpkin finally makes a decent showing in the finish, and a warming alcohol burn settles deep in the gullet. One of the few Weyerbachers I find truly interesting. golubj (1300), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of sweet malt, cinnamon, other spices, pumpkin, and some alcohol. The flavor is similar, with a pit fruit / spice finish. The best pumpkin ale i have had so far. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 30, 2007 22 oz. bottle. Large and lasting creamy tan head with a slippery lace over a deep orange/amber body. Aroma is all about spice, especially nutmeg, but clove and cinnamon also come through. Medium body and carbonation, with a rich mouthfeel. Not as sweet as I had expected, and there is a tangy spicy bitterness that takes the edge off the sweetness. Alcohol is definitely notable in both the aroma and flavor. With all of the spice going on, it’s hard to pick out the pumpkin, but it persists in the background. I’m not a big fan of these, but this one is among the best I’ve had. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2007 2007 Bottle:
Deep dark brown coloured body with a large and dense off-white head. Aroma of pumpkins (hey - who would have thought?) , nutmeg, cinnamon and hazlenuts. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour with the spices running rampant and sugars following soon thereafter. Aftertaste only shows the spices and the pit-fruity sweetness, no malt nor hops to speak of. Overall, a good pumpkin, a bit spicey and strong but fairly good in comparison to the others in this realm. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 29-September-2007. jwdevalue (158), Neptune, New Jersey, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 26, 2007 bottle- not alll that special. Almost tastes like they made an ale, that tasted very much like an average session beer, and added some spices to it. Not very full bodied. Not very interesting.
