Commercial Description:
Brewed with Pumpkin and Spices(Cinnamon,Nutmeg,Cardamom,Cloves). This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is heartier, spicier, and more caramelly and pumpkiny than its faint brethren! Perfect finisher on a cool autumn night, or match it up with a slice of pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream. If you don't agree this is the mother of all pumpkin ales, then you just don't like mothers!

The beer pours an almost red amber. The notes of allspice, pumkin, clove, and nutmeg show over the malt. The palate shows the same flavors but balanced in between is the potency of the high abv. It balances out nicely.

Bottle. One of my favorite pumpkin beers of the season behind Smutty and DFH. This stuff is really tasty. The pumpkin pie flavor is enriched by the vanilla which adds a whipped cream consistency to my pie -in-a-glass. I like the clove and nutmeg as well.

22oz, bought from store recently, kept in cellar all year, nice spicy nose on this one there is a ton of spice in this beer, not necessarily all pumpkin flavor but very reminiscent of pumpkin pie with alcohol and some malt, a nice seasonal brew with some age on it... enjoyed around campfire.

Granted it’s a bit tardy for a pumpkin ale, so we’ll see how thsi has held up in July... Pours an autumn sunset orange with a fluffy head of beige. Laces moderately well. Aromas of pumpkin pie, barely muted even after months of sitting. Flavors of ample spicing, with a malty base underneath. Crushed gingerbread crust. Alcohol is warming and a bit on the harder side. Almost an oily mouthfeel. Quite drinkable. An autumnal treat that did the trick in July. I’m glad I have one more in the fridge!

Bottle sent by sliffy in the swap. Thanks Dan. Shared with another Dan, Steven, and Rob and maybe Matt. This shit was straight on. Looked just like I thought it would, smelled and tasted as expected too. Lots of spices, nutmeg in particular, clove, cinnamon and pumpking flavors. Like a pumpking pie in a beer. Veryy good for its style, but not my favorite beer.

Thanks to JB175 for the bottle. Cloudy reddish copper color. Smell of nutmeg, pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, pie crust, hops, flowers and vegetable oil. Tastes the same. Wow! I love the spices and its really good. I cant wait for fall and I must get some more of this.

The spices dominate the aroma, you get a noseful of cinnamon, clovess, nutmeg,so much you almost need to sneeze, pumpkin pie spices are what the flavor is all about some actual pumpkin flavor and sweet malt, with touches of alcohol floating around there, little bit of bitterness in finish, loses something by being sipped in the middle of July, maybe more of a Christmas ale, but as far as something with pumpkin, yeah its the best. Thanks Kingpin

This is the best Pumpkin Ale around! Hands down!! Every year I run the gamut of Pumpkin ales/beers. Nothing comes close! From Weyerbacher, it runs a very, very close second to Imperial Raspberry Stout.
