Commercial Description:
Brewed with Pumpkin and Spices(Cinnamon,Nutmeg,Cardamom,Cloves). This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is heartier, spicier, and more caramelly and pumpkiny than its faint brethren! Perfect finisher on a cool autumn night, or match it up with a slice of pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream. If you don't agree this is the mother of all pumpkin ales, then you just don't like mothers!

Bottle from Styles: Pours nice orange with a small white head. Spices, Pumpkin and malt in this beer. I haven’t had many pumpkin ales, and I have to say it is quite different. As it warmed the pumpkin became very up front. I couldn’t detect the alcohol at all. Nice beer.

Bottle from Styles. Deep amber colored and moderately hazy. Decent white head and good lacing. Aroma is nicely spiced, some pumpkin comes out. Medium bodied, fairly smooth. Sweet with nice spice component. One of the better pumpkin beers I have had.

Thanks to Springslicker for sharing this one. An aroma of many spices. This beer smells better than a pumpkin pie. A light amber pour with a light off white head and gooy lacing. A very thanksgiving flavor again more pumpkin pie flavor than most pies. A flavor that grows across your palate. A rich textured beer that is smooth and full bodied. A very good seasonal that may well be the best of the fall seasonals I’ve tried. thanks jay

Thanks to SpringsLicker for sharing this bottle with us at the Nashville Tasting! Poured an orange color with an off-white head that settled but refreshed with a swirl of the glass. Light lacing observed. The aroma found pumpkin, candy corn, and wheat. The flavor was much the same with candy corn, pumpkin, spices, and maple syrup. Medium body and sweet throughout.

Pours a rich amber orange with a light medium white head. I love the aromas of pumpkin beers and this one has a great one. Tons of nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon spices. very similar in the taste. All sorts of spices, huge nutmeg taste. there isnt a huge pumpkin taste in this one which I like. I prefer my pumkin beers with less pumkin and more spices in them. This one fits the bill. Very nicely done.

Pours a clear rich amber with a healthy though dwindling frothy beige head. Domineering cinnamon, strong nutmeg, and big-ass allspice (but according to the bottle, cloves), are featured prominently in the nose. The sweet, lightly caramel nose comes out through it, but no real complexity. Creamy and rich in the mouth, low carbonation for such head, nice. The flavors are a step in the right direction compared to the nose. The malt is bigger, less caramel, and the cinnamon is a bit weaker, while the allspice seems stronger. Creamy, round malt, slight toast. A bit buttery, some butterscotch, which actually fits the beer nicely. The finish is creamy and rich, with slight alcohol and butteryness. The aftertaste is big on the christmas spices. A nice beer, reminds me of something between Our Special Ale and DFH Punkin Ale... I’d like to try laying some of this down to mellow out the spices.

Color is red with a huge offwhite head, looks nice enough. Smells and tastes like cinnamon, some general spice. It has a smooth palate. More pumpkin in the aroma than the flavor. I generally dont like pumpkin, but this beer is pretty good.
