I expected more of that to come out in the flavor. It was more clovey and hazelnut. Really good, would have liked a little more flavor though. shawnm213 (935), South Bend, Indiana, USA

Nice aroma of fall spices (clove, nutmeg, cinammon). Flavor is well-balanced, better than most of its pumpkin-spiced beer peers. Smooth, even palate, moderate carbonation, good spice on the finish. dand645 (102), Bayonne, New Jersey, USA

Pours a deep ruby amber color with a thick off white head leaving some spotty lacing. Great nose of baking spices, clove, nutmeg, and some toasted malts. Great mouth feel with nice carbonation. A lot of pumpkin beers I’ve tried have a nice nose but are lacking in flavor, this one holds up nicely on both ends, nice job with this one. Pookie9121 (87), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

Let me begin with a disclaimer that I am drinking this as I am getting the beginnings of a cold. Somewhat ashamed of myself for that. I may have another one when I’m better and revisit this score. Anyway, pours beautiful dark orange-amber, pretty much the color you would expect an imperial pumpkin ale to be. Nice one-inch head, but a little thin, faded quickly. Delicious flavor, well-balanced with all of its intended flavors (pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg). Smooth on the palate, lingers nicely. The 8.0% ABV brings a nice warming effect for the pumpkin time of year. A good beer, one of the best pumpkin ales I’ve had.
