Aroma of cinnamon and cloves are dominant but some pumpkin is also noticeable. Taste is a well balance mix between cloves and cinnamon with some subtle pumpkin. Body is above average with adequate carbonation and some light warming alcohol. Very interesting take on the style and probably the best pumpkin beer I ever had. illinismitty (1800), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

I had been wanting to try this for awhile. Pours orange amber iwth an off white head. Lots of nutmeg in the aroma, with accents of cinnamon candy red hots. Texture and malt backbone is a tad thin. However, the flavor is a nice blend of pumpkin spices, sweet malt, and alcohol. One of the better pumpkin beers I have had this beer. Be careful though, this is not a session. Spicy pumpkin aroma. Good, but I’ve had much better. johnykat (65), Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2007 I really enjoyed this beer. I was a little concerned due to the fact that pumpkins and beer don’t seem to mix well...but this beer changes my thoughts. The beer is dark amber and smells great with the pumpkin coming through. The taste pretty much refelects the smell as it contains: pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves and a little nutmeg. All these flavors mix quite well, and it really does remind me of pumpkin pie, which really caught me off guard. The finish is nice and clean, and Ieft me wanting another. Maybe I liked this beer more because I was expected less? Could be. I don’t think this is a beer or style for everyone though. starfireming (309), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Flavour has more pumpkin at the beginning, but the end is all spice. strangaj (229), West Chester, Ohio, USA
